What Do I Do All Day?

AS IF!!!

Well, I wish I could say I get to play all day, but here's how my typical day goes:

1) Wake up - try not to wake up Mr. Grumpy Pants because he doesn't like waking up as early as I do.

2) Fail miserably in my attempt not to wake up Mr. Grumpy Pants. I hope your peoples are much friendlier when they first wake up.

3) Crawl over to where he was sleeping while he goes into the showers. I don't know why he likes to smell like soaps but he does.

4) Wait until he goes and sits down at the computer, then go and remind him that we have not had a walk yet.

5) Go for our first walk. I find it's best if you walk pretty fast on the way out, but take your time on the way back. That way your walk will last longer, because the tall guy doesn't like for people to see him dragging me down the road on the way back home.

6) Come back and eat some breakfasts. The tall guy likes to eat Cheery Os. I ask him what does a cereal have to be so happy about. If I have been exceedingly good on our first walk, he will give me one O.

7) Jump in the car. Make sure you only jump in the side, because if you start jumping in the back, the tall guy will think you are willing to jump in the car any time he wants.

8) Drive to the park (not the dog park - just the local one) and talk to the other dogs (if we're lucky) or chase the baseball (if we're lucky), eat some beans (if I'm lucky)
or just walk around and see what smells we can find.

8) Come home and take my first nap while the tall guy plays on the Internets.

9) Wake up around 12 o'clocks when the tall guy decides he's hungry and needs to fix something to eat.

10) Put my head on his leg to see if he will give me some of what he is eating.

11) After he has eaten all his stuff (for the 2nd time in the day, mind you!!), take my second nap.

Speaking of which, it is past time for my second nap. I'll write some more about this tomorrow! :)

Non-Stick Labrador!

Evidently, I am covered in a non-stick surface, because this cool sticker that Augie and Ti sent me would not stick to my head when the tall guy tried to get a picture. He said if it was mud or dirt or ketchup, it wouldn't have any problem sticking to me. He also said it was covered with hair when he snatched it out of my mouth before I could eat it. I told him I wasn't going to eat it - I was just looking at it so I could get online and read more about Augie and Ti at augiedoggy.com!

For some reason, he didn't believe me.

Covering up the goodies!

The other day, Puddles had an interesting post about 'covering up the goodies'.

I didn't know what 'goodies' meant, so I asked the tall guy what it was.

OH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So from now on, when I put a picture on here, do not look here:

or here:
Evidently girls have more goodies than guys do!

Thank you. We now return to your regularly scheduled program, already in progress.

Some Completely Randy Pictures
from the dog park

(TG: I think you mean RANDOM pictures)

I am excited because there are some new puppies
coming into the puppy park.

Slobber lips (because I been eating the beans!)
Evidently someone told me to stop and so I had
to make the frowny face :(

Maya, who was a very nice dog,
kept wanting someone to take her picture!

I call this one 'Butt with Red Frisbee'.
Notice that all my back legs are off the ground!!

Some of you were laughing about all the words
in yesterday's post.
Well, if you go back and click on the word in RED,
you will get to see what that word means.
The tall guy said something about this template
making links in RED instead of blue or underlining them.
Okie dokie. I leave all that kind of stuff to him.

Hope you're having a magnificent Saturday
(or if you're reading this early or late,
I hope you're having a magnificent whatever-day-it-is)!

Yes, yes it does.

Why, yes, the one part of the bed
WITHOUT the blanket on it
to keep my hair from getting all over the bedspread
DOES feel much better than the part of the bed
WITH the blanket on it.

Thank you very much.

And no, I have no idea
who chewed off that corner of the blanket.

I wish that every day
was my BIRTHDAY!!

I do not even know where to start!
After a long sleep-in this morning,
and a delicious antibiotic pill (for the 'ergies')
along with my breakfast (not in bed, unfortunately!),
the tall guy said 'Let's go for a ride!'.
Well I thought we were going to the park, but no.
Look at where we went:

Yes, that is me in the water.
It is not a alligator!

We went to the lake.
There weren't even a lot of people there,
SO, I got to get off of my string

and go out in the actual part
where my feet didn't touch the bottom!!

There were even some extra puppies there for me to play with:

It was two separate dogs, even though they look the same.

It was so much fun. I got to run
and play with the sticks and everything!

Me and a stick.
I am the one smiling.

This next picture is NOT what you think it is.
This is a pine comb.
I guess it is what the trees use to comb their leaves.

It was so much fun.
I would like to go play in the lake every day!
But boy was I tired on the way home!

And then later that afternoon,
after I awoke refreshed,
look!!!

I was right.
That stuff that came in the mail was for me.

Let's look shall we?

I hit the jackpot.
I feel like I was on Wheel Of Fortune
and called the letter 'E'!

Can you guess who this was from?
Yep, one of the bestest puppies in the world:
Remington (and Beth and sometimes Mike!)
They are so cool.
There was even a puzzle on the back of the card.
I am going to keep it just in case
I need something to do if I ever need to take a trip
on a plane!

What do you mean there's more???

Maybe I need some scissors?

YEAH, PAPER!!
And it's my favorite kind.
The kind made out of .. uh.... paper!

What, you mean it's more than paper???

Are you kidding me?
This is like so amazing!!
It's the most amazing thing I've ever seen.
It's like unbelievable.
It's like..
uh..
what is it?

OH,
it's a bomible snowmans!!
I have never had no snowmans before!!

And look,
I didn't even rip his head off yet!!

Hey, snowman.
Don't steal my cookie!!

What?
Oh yes.
All the stuff in the box
(and there was a lot of stuff)
was from Augie and Ti!!
They are two of the funniest dogs I know.
And I love looking at all the things they do on their blog!

(I think their mom helps!!)

So thank you to all my friends and to everyone
who came by to visit yesterday.
I had over 42 million comments.
No?
Well, I had a lot of comments
and I got to meet a lot of new people!

So thank you, thank you, and thank YOU!

Now, what can we do for my birthday tomorrow?

Today I Am A Dog!

Today, I am 2 years old. I don't really know what that means, but the tall guy seems to think that it's a special day, so I'm just going to play along with him. He said that I am going to get all kinds of surprises today, so as long as they are the GOOD kind of surprises, it sounds pretty neat! I got a bunch of stuff in the mail, so hopefully those are part of the surprises he was talking about. (He said we would have pictures tomorrow.)

He also said that from now on, I am going to be a 'DOG' instead of a 'puppy'. That sounds pretty good too (I guess we'll be going to the dog park now instead of the puppy park). As long as I still get to sleep on his head ever now and again, he can call me whatever he wants!

It seems hard to think that I've gone from this:

to this:
in such a short time. The tall guy says he can't believe it either. He's only got like 24000 pictures of me and he said that's not nearly enough.

So come back tomorrow and we can all be surprised together! And thank you to all the peoples, puppies and feline puppies who sent me a "Happy Birthday!" message. The tall guy says they make him smile. I don't know why - it's not HIS birthday! :)

What do you mean,
I can't open these until tomorrow??

You do know that puppies do not have any concept of 'tomorrow' don't you?
There is 'Right Now' and then there is 'Eat',
with the most important being
'Eat Right Now!'.
So I don't know what you mean
that I have to wait until tomorrow.
I can tell there is something good in these.
Maybe I will just peek while the tall guy is sleeping?
No wait!!
I won't peek.
You don't have to put them up on top of the fridge.
That is just mean.
I can SEE them.
I can SMELL them.
But I just can't touch them!

I'm telling you.
Whenever this tomorrow thing is,
it can't come too soon!

Is it tomorrow yet?

Now?

Now?

Now?

Drat!

Jack and the Pea!

Please note, that is PEA, like the vegetable.

Sometimes, you just need to find the most comfortable place
you can to lay down your head.
Oh, and if you happen to see any yellow hairs
on those black socks,
it belongs to someone else,
it's not mine.

And here's some bubbles for you to watch,
but don't eat them because they don't taste very good!

Today I am sad,
and it's not even Sad-urday!

Why am I sad?
We were supposed to go to the puppy park
and look at what happened:

That's right!
TREES!
No wait.
RAIN!!
It decided to rain.
So we had to do the inside puppy park
(otherwise known as the living room), instead.
It's not quite the same,
as there are no beans for me to eat
and the number of puppies to play with
is limited to one: me.
Although it's quite funny to see the tall guy
down on the ground pretending to be a puppy!

And now here are some penquins chasing a butterfly -
simply because they can!

If you can't beat them...

I've decided that this is the best place to be when I need to get someone's attention. And if that doesn't work, I'll just unplug the thing while he's not looking!

The tall guy wanted to pass along this website he got from Dogster:

Thank You!

I want to say 'Thank you!' to all the people who wrote yesterday about my 'ergies'. You are very kind. And just in case, I will say 'Thank you!' to everyone who didn't write yesterday too. It never hurts to say 'Thank you!', unless you have a sore throat but then it hurts to say anything. But if that lady on Design Star can talk with a sore throat, I guess it's ok.

I do not have a sore throat - I don't even have any problems with my ears (the doctor said that is not uncommon when you get the 'ergies'. But I still have to get drops put in them, just so I won't have any problems with my ears. Well, I don't mean to sound contrary, but I think the problem I would have with my ears is that someone is putting drops in them. Doesn't that make sense to you?

The tall guy said to tell you that if your puppy is licking his paws, he might have the 'allergies' too. If he's licking his butt, well, that's another story all together! :)

0.015% Triamcinolone Acetonide
or
A Trip to The Vegetarian

It seems that us Labradorables have a tendency to get 'ERGEES'. Of course, me being the amazing puppy that I am, I get all of them. I think that's why they call them "ALLERGIES". The vegetarian said it was because of all the stuff I sniff up my nose. She said it goes in my nose and out my toes (which is better than coming out the other end, I guess!). So now I have to do this:

Pills in my mouth, drops in my ears, and spray on my toes!

I had the "allergies" last year,
so I was hoping that I was immune,
but the vegetarian said she also gets them,
so I guess that she's a Labradorable too!

PS - The tall guy said I did much better at the vegetarian's office this time.
I was so good they could even hear my heart through the garden hose!

PPS - The tall guy said to tell you that I do NOT get ALL the allergies.
I just have the one that makes your feet itch.
