Cheesy-toes!

I have not had no Cheesy-toes in a long, long time mainly because the tall guy has not been buying no Cheesy-toes.  But for some reason, he decided to buy some Cheesy-toes AND potato chips the other day at the store that I am not allowed to go to.

So, for lunch the other day, I got 1 (one) Cheesy-toe.  Please look carefully at the picture above.  I think someone needs to contact the Cheesy-toe people and tell them that there appears to be an issue with their quality control.  Evidently someone has bit off half of the Cheesy-toe before it got put into the bag.  So, in reality, I only got one-half of a Cheesy-toe.  I only got a CHEE.

At least, that's the story I was told when I asked where the other half of my Cheesy-toe was.

OUCH!!

http://abcnews.go.com/blogs/technology/2012/04/cactus-patch-puppy-up-for-adoption/

Always be careful where you stick your nose around here!

I've only gotten stuck one time and boy did I learn my lesson.  Fortunately, it was on my leg and the tall guy got it off.  He got all stuck in his hand, but he said he didn't even care as long as he got it off of me!

It was one of these:  (Jumping Cholla)
and boy did I jump when it got on me!!

And just in case you can't read the story about 'Cactus Jack', the puppy in the first picture, here is a picture showing that he is doing just fine now!  They filled up a big bucket with all the stickers they pulled off of him!  Ouch, indeed!!

Guess who I got to meet?
Go ahead, guess.
I'll wait!!

 That's right.
I got to meet Easton.

He and his dad were visiting some
friends who live near me,
so we decided to meet at the
dog park.

(Well actually, the tall guy took me there.
It's not like I just took off walking by myself!)

I showed him how I
got to play in the water
and eat the plastic bowls.

And he didn't even think
I was crazy.

I think he had a good time.
I hope he gets to come visit
again very very soon.

We also got to see lots
of other dogs and puppies.

Including this one:

He was a might big for a puppy.
He was just the right size for
a horse.
But that's ok.
He was still very nice too!

April 20, 2012

Well just call me Gomer Pyle!
(I have no idea what that means.
The tall guy just told me to put that.)

We got an unexpected surprise in the
mail today!

I got to help open it!

Well, I got to TRY to help open it!

It was from Remington and his mom.
There was a bunch of stuff in it for the tall guy,
and look what I got!

A STICK!

Actually, it was a PUPPERONI STICK.
It smelled REALLY bad
and it was delicious!!

And look what the tall guy got!
He didn't give me any,
but he said it tasted just like moose!
It must have been good,
because he ate the whole thing!

So thank you very much for our surprise.
It was very surprising!!

I have no idea what I sound like!

Well, the tall guy said we should do an audio version of my book, "Jack:  A book about a dog where the dog doesn't die at the end", but when we tried, he said that I didn't sound like a Jack.  He said I sounded more like someone trying to talk like a dog.  I have no idea what he means, but that's usually the case, especially early in the morning before he has his Cheery Os.  I told him one morning that he looked like he had been eating Grumpy Os, but he didn't think that was very funny.  I rested my case!

Anyway...

I thought of an important question.  If your fur child(ren) could talk, what (or who) would he/she/they sound like?  (Try diagramming THAT sentence in your 8th grade English class!)

The BEST answer, as chosen by me, will win something, although I have no idea how much is left on the tall guy's credit card.  Maybe you'll win a call from me so you can hear what I REALLY sound like!

1000!

I would like to thank the Academy for this award and to all the people out there who...

What?

I didn't win the Academy Award?

This is just my 1000th post?

Wow, I must not have had anything else to do.

I need to get a life!

Note from the tall guy:  Thank you to EVERYONE who has joined Jack and I on our 3.5 year journey.  Thank you for all the kind comments and all the fun that we've had sharing with you.  And as Jack would say "Can I have a cookie?".  Really.  Those are the only words he knows.  Well, that, and "What are you eating?  Can I have some?"  So, from the bottom of our cookie-eating, have some-ing hearts...
THANK YOU!

IT'S TICO-TACO TIME!

MMMMM, tacos.

We finally went to the Mexican truck and not only did the tall guy get a Sonoran hot dog, he also got a chicken taco.

Please note that HE got a hot dog and a taco.

Do you see any taco in my mouth?  No??

As Wilf might say when talking to Madame Bay, "Quelle surprise!*"

I did get ONE EENSY-WEENSY TEENY-TINY sliver of chicken, but I think that was because someone was filled up from all the hot dog and taco.  Or he dropped it on the floor mat and it was covered with hair.

Oh well. A boy can dream!

*(Which translates to "REALLY?" in Sarcasm-American.)

For Tammy J

There was a guy working on the sprinkler system at the park, so I thought I would help him.

And floss my teeth at the same time.

It's a win, win situation all around!

I got a BOX!!!

Look at what I got yesterday. I heard the big truck drive up so I told the tall guy to go look and here's what we found:

It was a BOX.  It was addressed to the tall guy, but he said I could help him open it.

I started on the side, but the tall guy said it is usually better to open boxes from the middle.

So, after he YANKED IT OUT OF MY MOUTH, err... gently took it away from me, he used the scissors to open it for me.

And look what was in the box:

That's right. PAPERS!!!
A bamillion pounds of papers just for me! I was SO happy!!

And who was nice enough to send me all these wonderful papers for me to play with?

Why, Madi and her mom of course!

Oh, there were some cookies in there for the tall guy too, but I didn't get any of those because they had the chocolates in them, but that's ok.  I got my papers to chew on.

And I got to chew on the papers for like almost 10 seconds before they got SNATCHED AWAY, er... gently taken away and put up.

So thank you Madi and her mom for sending me all the wonderful papers to play with.  If you could put MY NAME on the box next time, maybe I'll get to play with them BEFORE the tall guy finds out!

April 2, 2012

Well, wouldn't you know it?

It turns out I was only like 2 blocks away from the house. I wasn't anywhere NEAR the taco truck. So the tall guy told me I had to come home.

But when we got back home, he told me he had a surprise for me.  So I splayed out on the floor and waited.

Then, LO AND BEHOLD (Go ahead.  I'll wait while you behold.)  He gave me my very own pannycake!

Actually, I think it was one of his practice pannycakes since it wasn't very big, but that's ok.  It was still the most delicious pannycake I have had in a long time.  And it was not even burned on either side!

And then to top it all off, we went to the park and went on a walk.  I think it was so he could walk off all the calories from all the non-burned pannycakes that HE ate, because the ones he ate even had butter AND syrup on them.  I'm telling you, he's just becoming decadent.  It's like I'm living in BARKingham Palace around here sometimes!

I had to smile so he could take my picture.

We saw a bird sitting on one of the trees.  We didn't know what kind it was until we got back home and did the Google.  Turns out, it is a brown curve-billed thrasher.  If you click HERE, you can hear what they sound like.  I didn't hear this one singing, but I think that is because it flew away right after the tall guy took its picture.

And last but not least, here are the mountains.  If you look closely at the bottom, you can also see where they are building a dog park so I will have somewhere to play without having to wear my string.  The tall guy said they were going to name it the "JACK!! If you don't stop waking me up at 6AM, one of us is start sleeping in the back yard and it's not gonna be me" Doggy Park.

Some people sure are grouchy when they don't get enough sleep!
