Sleeping 101
by Jack

There are some rules one should follow if one wishes to get the best night's sleep.  We will start with a few of the basics.

1.  Take up as much of the bed as possible.  Why should you be uncomfortable just so someone else can sleep where you want to be?

2.  Make sure you're on the side of the bed that is where your peoples sleep.  That way they will understand that it's your bed too.

3.  At least one part of your body needs to be hanging off the bed.  That way your peoples will feel sorry for you and get a bigger bed, even if they already have a California King.

4.  Make sure you shed a lot of hair.  That way they will have to put down extra stuff for you to sleep on so that your hair will not get all over the bed.  Remember, the more stuff you can sleep on, the softer the bed will be!  So what if it doesn't match the rest of the bed.  Who do they think you are?  Martha Stewart?

And there you have just a few of the Rules for Sleeping that we follow in our household.  Tune in next time for our crash course in Advanced Napping!  Until then, sweet dreams!

  5. Our boys tend to not let things hang off the bed. They've discovered gravity a few too many times!

  11. Jack! You sure know a lot about the subtleties of getting a good snooze. Just watch out for that head hanging down. Like all your blood could go in there and it might explode!

  18. Yep, Abby has all those mastered, except the hanging body parts off the bed. If she does that, she's not big enough to also hog the very center of the bed. But she does snore. Next up: the 'chasing rabbits' portion of the bed snooze.

  19. oh jack... you adorable puppy!
and look how pink and clean your ear is, hanging off the bed like that... so you can hear tall guy approaching? to move you over... so he can use the bed for sleeping too? humans have a tiresome habit of doing that. no pun intended.
    love ya buddy,

  22. Hi Y'all,

Something is wrong in my house! I have a nice soft memory foam bed of my own with extra support, but can't get in the human bed. Their bed is so high and just a double so one of the humans would have to sleep on the floor. Besides I'm expected to stay alert all night so they can sleep.

    Do you give lessons?

    Y'all come by now,

  23. You have summed it up perfectly Jack. I have tried to explain this to my humans and this will truly help them understand!
