Exploring my new neighborhood

Here we are out looking around
our new neighborhood.
It's pretty cool.
There are lots of new smells and things to see.

Here's one of them.
Do you know what it is?

That's right.
It's a LEAVE.
But not just any old leave.
It's a honking HUGE leave.

I have never seen one this big before.
It is bigger than the tall guy's head,
and trust me,
he's got a big old noggin!

I'll keep you posted
as we find more new stuff.

  8. Don't you love the way your feet make crunchy sounds on the leaves? Just remember that they only sound like potato chips and bear no taste resemblance whatsoever! How's TG enjoying searching for your "deposits" amongst the fallen leaves? Ha ha - I make every effort to play Easter Bunny and hide mine in the leafiest areas of the yard. Keeps the people's searching skills sharp and I think they enjoy it every bit as much as I enjoy that ball that mama stuffs biscuits in and I have to push around to get my treats out.

  13. Hi Jack -
I Love this time of year! Lots of leaves and lots to smell. When Mom and I "normally" walk throughout the year it takes an hour ... but when the leaves are down and people rake them into piles ... ahhh, the smells! It takes me twice as long to walk!

Barks to You in your Wonderful New Home.
Your Lab Pal, (we almost look like twins!)

  14. Dear Jack,

Now you need to convince the tall guy to rake a whole bunch of those leaves into one gigantic pile so you can get a running start and DIVE into them!! I promise, you will love it ~ the tall guy, not so much......(but it would make a great video for your blog).

    Your friend,
    Nancy
