The Day After...



This video was made the DAY AFTER Jack had his 'operation' (see yesterday's blog entry!). The vet said he should remain quiet and restful. We both had a good laugh about that!

However, I can now say with no uncertainty that frantic energy is NOT stored 'below the belt'. I think Jack is trying to make up for the time he was asleep during the operation!

Yikes! I keep telling everyone that I am only 5 months old, but they don't believe me. I tell them that my father was very muscular, but they don't believe me. I tell them that I only eat what I'm supposed to, but even I don't believe that! :)

I am very lucky that I get to sleep until the tall guy gets up. I finally learned how to jump off the bed, so now I get to sleep wherever I want. I have to be very careful not to mess up or I'll have to sleep in one room. I am going to work very hard not to eat the electrical outlets any more!

Peoples are the BEST pillows...

I don't know why the tall guy doesn't seem to enjoy when I sleep like this. All the puppies and I where I first stayed slept like this and they never complained. But for some reason, the tall guy seems to get upset when I crawl up on his head. I'll have to look up what '#!$$@!%!' means sometime.

And now a note from the tall guy...

I (the tall guy Jack keeps talking about) got a new camera for Christmas. It's a Canon G10. Although it may be hard to tell from the pictures I take*, the camera CAN take really good pictures. This actual size of this picture is about 24" by 18" (14.7 megapixels!) - and the amount of detail is amazing.

And now back to our regular programming...

My new, bestest puppy friend!

You may well ask how I met my new friend. Well, somehow, (and don't ask me how, cause he just seems to know about EVERYTHING), the tall guy found this place where people can take their dogs and puppies and just let them play! OMG!!*
So when we got there, I was just really happy! It was like the beach place we went to, but right here where I live (well, without the water!)

So, all the other puppies ran over to tell me hello, since I was a NOOB*, and they were very nice. Some of the other tall guys were throwing balls for their puppies and some of the tall ladypeople were playing with their puppies as well. Needless to say, everyone was having a great time. A few of the bigger dogs were being a bit slobbery, but I guess that's what happens when you get like really OLD (I think some of them were like 2 whole YEARS old!)

Anyway, Blue came over and asked if I would like to run around with him and I said 'Sure' and boy, can he run! I thought I could run fast, but he is like fast FAST. When we got tired of running, we would rassle!
That was the best part. We were both very good (according to the tall guy) and didn't even bite each other.

So, now I guess Blue and I are like BFFs*.

*This is how all the puppies in California talked.

After a long grueling day on the slopes, I decided to come home and 'take a lounge' out in the sun. It's good to be the king! You can wake me up for my massage at 11:00. Now where's that tall guy with my snacks?

SNOW!!!

Wow, this is cool! So this is where the tall guy was taking me. We went up to a place called Mt. Lemmon and there was all this white stuff all over the ground, so I asked the tall guy if he would stop and let me check it out and he did! He's pretty good about that kind of stuff.

I've never seen ANYTHING like this before. I wonder if the other puppies know about this stuff.

I made the tall guy take a bunch of pictures and even some movies so I could show everyone what fun I had. He said he would put them on my blog for me over the next few days.

So, if you live where it's cold, be sure to watch for this SNOW stuff. It's pretty neat and it tastes good too. Unless it is yellow...

Huh?

The tall guy said we were going to go somewhere really special today. He packed up all of my stuff and put it in the car, picked ME up and put me in the car (long story, I still don't like jumping in and out of the car) and off we went. We were only driving for a little while until he pulled over and ... HEY, WHAT'S THAT? (to be continued...)

Who knows what all he does while I'm not at home? Now if he would only learn how to put the dishes in the dishwasher, vacuum (he does like the vacuum cleaner), and wash the clothes, I think I'd give him an extra cookie!

About 19 weeks old!

About 47 pounds. I'm sure the tongue is at least 10% of that weight.
Speaking of things that are sticking out, what is with that hair on my chest? Maybe I'm related to this guy.
The tall guy and I are playing "nanny nanny boo-boo" so I had to taunt him a second time!

he DID tell me not to step foot into the bedroom while he was gone!

I think the vet slipped me a mickey this morning, so I'm just gonna take a nap for a while. I was so excited to see her, I didn't even complain when she squirted stuff in my nose. I just hope she wasn't aiming for the other end!

I do wish the tall guy would stop trying to photoshop the redeye in my pictures. He's not very good at it.

I got another one of those bath things yesterday because I'm going to the doctor today to get my last shot and I didn't want to stink. Personally, I don't think I smell bad, but for some reason, the tall guy seems to think that I need to smell like flowers whenever I go for a visit!

In which I say Goodbye to the ocean...

Well, my vacation* finally ended and we took a long drive back home. Fortunately, I didn't have to do any driving, so I slept most of the way. Unfortunately, car rides make me need to go to the bathroom more often, so we had to stop several times along the way. If you see a wet spot, it's ok to check and see if it's mine!

I did get to see people playing in the dirt near Ocotillo, but the tall guy wouldn't let me get out and play!

* If you have read my earlier posts, I DID find out the difference between VACATION and VACCINATION! However, the nice lady tells me that I do very good when I go to get my vaccinations and she always gets down on the floor and plays with me. So, I enjoy both my vacation and my vaccinations very much!
