Let's Go To The Mall!
I hope everyone had a very good New Year's.
The tall guy and I went to the big mall.
It's the only one that I'm allowed to go to
since all the stores are outside!
We did not see any other dogs today,
but sometimes there are other dogs there.
I did not get to ride the escalator,
but when I was walking down the stairs,
I had a lady tell the tall guy that I looked very happy.
I think she was drunk!
They even have this really cool swimming pool,
but you can't swim in it.
The tall guy said it is a fountain,
but I didn't want to correct him
in front of all the other people
who were at the mall too.
If I had had a bone,
I could have re-enacted
the Aesop fable,
The Dog and His Bone.
Instead,
I just pulled a Narcissus.
I did not get to buy anything at the mall.
I think my credit card is maxed out.
But it was still fun looking at all the
neat stuff in the windows.
They have a rescue store at the mall
where they try to find homes for
all the cats and dogs who don't
have a home. I didn't get to go in there,
but the tall guy always gives them
some moneys when we walk by.
I just say hello to everyone
through the window.
So next time you're at the mall,
look for me.
And say hello!
Hey Jack, that sounds like one really cool mall. It gets so cold here inthe winter that I don't think they could have a cool mall like that. The humans probably wouldn't go.
ReplyDeleteSure lookes fun though.
Bert
Yeah, what Bert said. Our pawrents shop at all the same malls but they won't let us dogs in them. They make us wait in the car!
ReplyDeleteStay Calm & Bark On,
Murphy & Stanley
That's the best kind of mall. Lots of fresh air and a swimming pool.
ReplyDeleteKisses,
Dexter
Sounds like you had a very nice adventure at the mall, Jack :-) I especially love the pic of you looking into the fountain!
ReplyDeleteThe rescue store sounds like a wonderful thing; I don't think there is anything like that here in Michigan. Hopefully they are able to help lots of kitties and puppies find forever homes.
Happy 2013 to you and the Tall Guy!
Your friend,
Nancy
What a great way to spend the day Jack!!!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year Jack!
ReplyDeleteLoveys Sasha
At the mall mom goes to they only let little dogs in. Mom's dream is to walk through bloomingdales with Bart!!
ReplyDeleteJack - What's the point of a pool if you can't swim in it ?
ReplyDeleteHow nice of your Dad to give the rescue place some money! I have a Cinderely carriage, so I can go most anywhere! But I guess they don't make them big enough for you, so sorry.
ReplyDeleteLovies, Miss Mindy
You really got to go to the mall? We've never been inside a mall before, but we do get to go to Lowe's!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Lily Belle & Muffin
We don't have a mall here that will let me come in....I think I will come to your town to go shopping!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cool mall Jack. Do you believe the Ey we need to watch over the human and correct them when they are always wrong!
ReplyDeleteBenny & Lily
Hmmm that pool looked more like a nice big water bowl for a thirsty dog!!! But you can never trust them - I hear some hoomans like to pee in them!!!
ReplyDeleteJack so you would be Jack the Happy Lab at the mall with a great big smile, leading your TG on a string so he doesn't get lost.
ReplyDeleteWhat an funny post....oh and mom says back away from the escalators...they are evil and sneaky.
Hugs Madi your BFFF and Happy New Year to you and TG
PS I'm having my big swearin' in for Mayoress bash on January 12 everyone is invited. There is quite a diverse cast for the swearin' in too.
It's fun to shop! I think you should just go in the stores and have a look, Jack. Especially the stores with hotdogs and cookies and other foodables!
ReplyDeleteWyatt
I'd do a Narcissus, too, if I were you, Jack. Handsome devil.
