And the nominees are...
OK, it's time to choose. Since the tall guy has started working on the cookbook for dogs, it's time to decide who you want to give the money to. (Just to remind you, we're going to give ALL the money we raise to help needy animals!)
So, if you know of an organization or someone who helps animals who could use some money, please leave a comment below. We will compile all the nominations and then decide who gets the donations!
And if you were wondering, the title of the cookbook is going to be
(Oh I'm sorry, I've used up all of my Internets for today. I guess you will just have to come back to find out the name of the book!)
6/9: An update note from the Tall Guy: Once we've get all the nominees, everyone who reads the blog is going to help select the organization. I didn't want anyone to think that I was the one doing the choosing. Thanks!
Haaa!
ReplyDeleteYou need a pre-paid thing to get more internet time!

I could use some extra cash...
ReplyDeleteJust kidding! I nominate the Tufts University Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine because they have taken such good care of me and other family members and they do lots of important research type work and they also take care of big furries like cows and horses and whatnot.

MOL Jack...
ReplyDeleteDoes TG have a coin slot attached to the 'puter to make you pay for your share of the internets?
We can hardly wait to find out the name of your next book. We know it will have a very clever title. As for a nomination to receive the profits from the book Mom and I will go along with whatever you decide.
Hugs Madi
Count us in. My Vickie really needs a cookbook designed just for me. But be sure to make it really simple as she is the WORST cook in the world.

Jack we heard of this remarkable guy at www.allforoneclothing.com who makes stuffs and sells them for different shelters. Here is the beginning of his story:
ReplyDelete'My name is Brandon Hopkins and along with my dog Shilo we want to make a difference in the lives of shelter dogs.'
He called it 'All For One' because he thought just One guy could make a difference. And boy has he.

Geesh, I wish Mom would remember to send you a couple or three recipes but she's useless, what can I say? Bein's how you're such good guys for thinkin' this whole cookbook idea up, I'm not gonna give you any names, we know you'll figger out a good one to give the proceeds to. Just come over and remind Mom to buy one when it's done in case she forgets to order one.
ReplyDeleteWoofs and proceedin' slobbers,
Chester ;0=)
Looks like you've gotten some great suggestions.
ReplyDeleteBig Red's mouth is watering already.

Actually, it was a Facebook post. I am a lucky human for sure. Two months with us now, he is wonderful.
Not sure what your time frame is on finishing the book, but the pets in the Joplin Missouri area could use all the help they can get. So many don't even have homes now, let alone noms and toys.

There is a place by us that takes in sick and old dogs no one wants and lets them live their lives there. They are hurting for money right now...

This is a tough one. There are so many organizations that could use the help. How about World Vets? They go anywhere they're needed.

There are lots of good suggestions for beneficiary of the cookbook proceeds. Hope you sell 87,000 copies. You might want to take a look at United Animal Nations: they give small grants to individual owners whose pets need expensive vet care and the pet might not get the care or might even be euthanized without the assistance. They operate nationwide.
