Uh...

I would really prefer NOT to have my ears cleaned right now if you don't mind.
What? You DO mind?
Well, they are MY ears, so I think we can wait a while.
How about FOR-NEVER? Is for-never a good time to clean my ears?
No?
Ok, here's my deal.
If you'll let me wait until another time to clean my ears,
I won't bark when you are watching House.
No?
Ok, here's another deal.
No?
Oh, just clean them already and get it over with!

From the tall guy:

We do this negotiation EVERY WEEK!
He always loses!

  1. Keep trying Jack! If you make it miserable enough for TG maybe he will give up. Barking during House eh? You don't mess around do you! Did you see Moose's Kibble requests while I was watching the hour long Office episode? Lucky for him I have tivo!

  7. Why don't you like your ears cleaned? It feels so good! I hum while Beth cleans mine. I like clean ears. But if you don't like it you should go on strike like Madi....but you need a sign to carry....

  8. Jack, we feel your pain. We're not fond of having our ears cleaned either. But, we are teensy tots and our hoomans are much bigger, so we really don't have much of a choice but to grin and bear it. :(

    Chihuahua kisses,

  9. Jack, just get used to it. We try and try and try to talk our momma outta' doin' our ears an' our toes but nuttin' works. Even sometimes when we are really not gonna let her do it, she asks her son to stop over on his way home from workin' an' then we know that it is THE END. It is gonna happen no matter what...sigh.

  11. If negotiation doesn't work, try bribery. Or blackmail. Blackmail's always good.

  12. Jack, you have no idea how seriously I understand your dilemma. I pride myself on being impossible when it comes to getting medicine in my ears. It has reached the point where I have my very own jar of peanut butter! Mom dips a spoon in there to bribe me, while Dad shoves the junk in my ears. Keep up the good fight buddy :) Farley
