The One Where
I talk to
the tall guy
(Part 1 of 2)

Dory did a wonderful interview last week and I liked it SO much that I thought I would STEAL (er... BORROW) the idea and interview the tall guy.

Me: Thank you for taking the time to talk to me.
TG: Huh?

Me: There are lots of things that people would like to know about you, so let's start with this: Do you think I am handsome?
TG: What????

Me: Ok, let's make this easier. What one word comes to mind when you think about me?
TG: Well, if you hyphenate it, I would say 'pain-in-the-'
Me: (Interrupting) NEXT QUESTION! Out of all the puppies in the world, why did you pick me?
TG: That's a very good question. I think it's because you were the cutest one of the whole bunch.
And you were the only one left by the time I got to pick.

Me: Quality over quantity, I like that. OK, next question, what am I getting for Christmas?
TG: Hey, I thought you were supposed to be interviewing me?
Me: I am interviewing you. No one said the interview had to be ABOUT you.
TG: Then you should interview yourself! Or let me ask the questions.

Me: Ok, we'll talk about you. Why do you watch so much television?
TG: I don't watch a lot of television - only the Amazing Race and it's over.
Me: Thank goodness.
TG: Oh, and HGTV and The Food Network.
Me: Uh-huh
TG: And The People's Court - but you're usually asleep when that comes on. Besides, it's dark when all the other stuff comes on. We can't play outside.

Me: Did you know that some puppies get to go on like 42 walks a day?
TG: Well, you get 3 walks a day and sometimes 4 AND you get to go to the park a lot! So, who are these puppies that get to go on 42 walks a day?
Me: Uh, I need to go outside for a minute. Let's take a break!

(Me: Tune in tomorrow for more of the exciting tall guy interview. Oh, and if YOU get to go on 42 walks a day, please send me your name ASAP!!! Thank you!)

  4. Very interestin' interview Jack. Just like the professionals on TV that cut off the interviewee when they don't wanna hear the answer.

42 walks?? OF COURSE I HAVE 42 WALKS A DAY!! Doesn't every lab?

Ok-Mom say's I'm egg saturatin' again. Maybe 2 walks if I'm lucky. Sounds like you got it pretty good Jack, really.
Love this interview stuff too-I feel like I know you so much better now.

  6. Hi Jack!!!
Great interview so far. For a pup you have good skills. When trying to get TG to let you do something try this line, 'well all the other mom/dads lets them do it'!! My daughter used that one a lot on me. Don't be surprised it TG tells you to have all the other mom/dads to call him.
    FYI I don't get 42 walks a day but I do get
    at least 42 winks.

  8. I like the interview Jack! I think there are A LOT of dogs that get to go on 42 walks a day. Maybe even more! I, however, am not one of them and to tell you the truth I would not want too. I am a bit lazy.... I just like FOOTBALL!

  9. I think 42 walks a day would be GREAT! Even though I've got short legs and my breed is not really known for high energy, I could walk forever this time of year... not so much in the summer though when it's hot. Interesting interview & looking forward to part 2!

  10. Well, there are 6 of us and we sometimes do 7 miles on the weekend, so 7 times 6 - wait we need to borrow some more paws - yeah, that would be 42 walks a day. Or something like that.

  11. Jack, Have you been watching Baba Walters?

  13. Jack,

We too get between 3 and 4 walks in one day but we strive to get 42 treats a day! Would that work for you?

With regards to the TV, when our mom is watching too much we simply sit in front of it and bark. Works all the time, let us know if you're able to test this out. Oh, if you get punished we are not responsible ;-)

Love the interview, you're a natural at it.

  14. Guys - you're killin' me! Thanks for the laughs :) Jack, I think 42 walks is a reasonable request. Then you will be extra sleepy allowing more TV time for the Tall Guy.

  15. Good one, Jack. And while you're there, you can ask TG when he's going to be taking you up to the snow. Snow was made for puppies so it's not to be missed.

We know the house you're talking about in Sedona. Unfortunately, it's not the only one. There seems to be an unwritten rule that more money they take to build, the uglier they are.

  16. I like the questions! I hardly ever watch TV. Too busy working and reading blogs!! OH Yeah, the family and all my pets have to fit in there too! hehehehe

  17. Great interview skills Jack!! We should get together on one of those 60 minute shows...we could do SO MUCH BETTER than the hoomans...

I go on 42 walks a day...if you count in and out of the doggie door into my back yard....

    Smileys!
