The Sniffin' Tree

Do you have a favorite place that you simply have to stop when you're on your walks? This is my sniffin' tree. Evidently it's a favorite spot of all the puppies who come to the park, because the tall guy knows that when we get to the tree, he might as well sit down and read a book or something because I need to spend about 4 hours here. And then go to my next sniffin' place. And the next. And the next.....

And since we haven't talked about feline puppies on here lately, here is something for Madi and her mom:

  3. Oh you - we have a favorite spot. Ok, favorite SPOTS.

In fairness, since most of our hiking is done where we do not see many other dogs, our humans always get worried when we study a sniffing spot. Because that means some other creature claimed that spot.

  4. Hey Jack,
We think the cat is just catching flies.
We also like sniffing but, unlike Tucson, there are thousands of trees to pick from in our paddock; its hard to pock a favorite.

  5. Morning Jack....now that is one nice tree. Not only does it smell good it is slightly bent making it more egronomically acceptable. You don't have to strain your neck.

Madi says that cat on the video needs to be mediCATed....too funny. If Mom got the flashy box that close to me I'd turn tail and run.

  7. Jack, I need to learn to slow down and just have a good sniff sometimes. I am always on the go. I just take a quick whiff and then I'm off!

  8. There are definitely some exquisite spots to sniff out here - peep may not need a book, but possibly a newspaper!
    A good Tuesday to you!

  10. There are some favorite spots for me. My mom can't get me to move because I have to stay and smell them for awhile. My trick is to just lay down and she can't drag me because that would get people's attention so she has to stand there and wait. I love my smelling spots. Love, Hollydog

  15. For Cabana, it's a sniffin' bush. It's like catching up on blogs, gotta see what other dogs are up to today!

  16. Jack, I try to teach the humans to slow down and take it all in too. They are always rushing! It's about enjoying the little things sometimes, right buddy?

  18. Oh yes. Some trees are most popular and require several passes of peemail and prolonged investigation.
