And now, a message for those going hiking!

SNAKES!!!
(not on a plane,
on the ground)

Always be on the lookout for snakes when you are outside.
Even at the grocery store or when you are getting ice cream!

Did I ever tell you about my version training?
Well, if I did, I'm gonna tell you again.

Evidently if you live in the West,
you should do something called
'RADDLESNAKE VERSION TRAINING'.

So one morning, the tall guy and I got in the car,
and went to this ladies house.
Evidently she has raddlesnakes.
I think she would be better off with kittens,
but who am I to judge?

Anyway, when you do the raddlesnake version,
you have to look at a raddlesnake in a cage.
And then he starts shaking his butt.
And when he started shaking his butt,
he looks you in the eye
and he ZAPS!!! you with his super-scary
RADDLESNAKE power!
I'm telling you, it felt like I had stuck my tongue
in an electrical outlet.
I was NOT a happy camper,
but I learned that when you hear
a raddlesnake's butt,
you should stay as far away from it as possible.
Evidently, it can control you with its mind
and then you will end up in big trouble!

So, be careful out there, ok?

(And if you don't believe me,
look at Ms. ~K's blog post here:

  1. YeeDoggie! Sure hope we don't never have to go for version training that does NOT sound good. Nope, NosirReeBobba. SO I guess we'll just leave those snakey things alone all by ourselves.

  3. I am supper glad to be living in NZ where there aren't snakes hiding ready to hypnotise me with their rear ends!

  4. If I ever saw one of those I would just pass out on the spot. What is with the butt shaking anyway? Why do they do it if they don't want attentions?

  5. Oh good grief Jack...tell TG now he has Mom standing on the table where she says she will stay the rest of the day. This makes it really hard for her to work as my assistant!!!

WE had no idea there was that type of class for puppies but we think it is a very good idea.!!!

  9. WOW! We have something just as scary in Minnesota! They are call earthworms. They are all over the place....everywhere you walk when it rains. But they don't shake their butt and they don't bite....oh, maybe they aren't that scary....sorry....
I will make sure I don't "GO WEST"!

  10. I have heard of rattlesnake training, but I didn't know you did it! That is really smart of your TG to get you rattlesnake trained....you have such a good nose that you can probably avoid them pretty well if you set your mind to it.

  12. How do you know there are snakes in the grocery store Jack? Are they on the floor of the ice cream aisle or in the freezer with the ice cream? And if they're in the freezer, then aren't they frozen? And if they're frozen, aren't they dead? Please answer asap cause my asst. is going to the grocery store this afternoon to pick up a few things. She needs to figure out how bad she wants ice cream.

  14. My asst. says thanks for your speedy reply, however green jello ice milk doesn't sound very appetizing to her & frankly, I'm not even sure I would be interested... a first!

  15. OMD Jack, Good thing you had that version training. Our Mom wishes we had a place like that. Cuz when we go to the cabin, we are told about them being around. So far we've only seen those garter/grass snakes & heard about bears coming close. We think that is why M keeps us on the leash more that she used to.
    Thanks for the info.

  18. Rattlesnake butt training sounds very scary, but if you are going to stay away from them now it's worth it :)

  22. Some people are snake phobic, but not me. I'm brave enough to old one if it's not poisonous. My problem is I never get close to a snake in the wild to know if it's not poisonous. Just the ones at the pet shop! Now spiders, you gotta stay away from them, too, Jack! They're all bad and I am arachnaphobic so don't go putting pictures of them on your blog!

  24. I'll go check out Ms K's post too but you should know there's one more lethal butt out there and it belongs to the chiweenie--she's special that way plus there's no antidote.
