MMMMMMMMMMMM!!

I don't know what that was, but it sure did taste good!

The tall guy says I am getting better about not eating things that I find on the ground, but sometimes it is pretty hard not to! I can't believe that I used to pick up cigarette butts, but now it's mostly sticks and plastic water bottles. I think I'm addicted to those water bottles. And Gatorade bottles (but I've never seen any gators in them - they must have escaped before I got to them). And plastic cups! Even though I love them, please be kind and recycle your plastic cups because some puppies might think they are for eating and not playing!

We got to go to the puppy store this morning and the tall guy let me pick out my own toy! Unfortunately, it wasn't too long before the tall guy had to take it away from me, as I had already chewed it up :( So, he says no more plastic toys for me. (Although I still have a few of the Kong toys that I can't chew through - yet!) He thinks he may have to go to the really big bones (hey, my mama didn't raise no fool!)

So, if you have a favorite kind of BIG bone that you like, please let the tall guy know so he can buy me one. Or two. Or forty-seven!

  2. I stopped looking for things Moose could not chew up when I realized his jaws might be strong enough to break his teeth on whatever I found! I tried those hooves and he could break them into really sharp pieces! Those big cooked butcher shoppe bones at the grocery store worried me too. He can bite hard enough to break those and really worry me about his teeth. I read another blog (I think it was Savage the great dane) who broke a tooth on one and his jaw got infected :-( be careful with whatever you find! Kongs are the only thing he has not destroyed (only the original shape) but of course the more he chews on them the stronger his jaw gets! Have you tried bigger plastic bottles like 2L soda bottles? Moose loves those and it takes him a little longer to crunch it up! Good luck and let us know what you find!

  3. I have a 5 year old Lab, Smoke, and I have yet to find any toy that he can't destroy in under a minute. Luckily he has never gone after furniture, shoes, or anything else. Just his toys. If you find anything, please post the info!

  4. Morning Jack how are you today? You did find something very tasty...love your expression. I (Madi) don't know much about dog toys; however, last night mom came back from her walk with a dog story. We have a neigbor dog, Layne....she is a lovely Plush German Shepherd. Mom was visiting with Layne and her peeps last night while they tossed a cloth frisbee for her to chase...mom said she got a chuckle out of because he thought of your post about TG throwing away his ball. Every time Layne came back with the frisbee she would drop it like ok here it is and then it would go flying again.
sorry just had to share that...it made Mom smile. Maybe someday we can get a picture of Layne on our blog. Madi and Mom
