Someone asked me yesterday how do I find baseballs when I am out on a walk. I think I have found like 200 baseballs (well maybe 10) so I guess I'm pretty good at it.The main thing in finding baseballs is that you have to go where they live. You probably won't find a lot of baseballs out in the woods or in the water. You have to go to something called a baseball FIELD (not to be confused with Mrs. Fields.... MMMMMMMMMMM, cookies!!).
Then you have to keep your nose close to the ground and your eyes peeled. But not like a banana, because that would hurt.
But you have to remember when you find one, do not scream, because you might scare it away!
Wait. What?
I was just informed that baseballs don't have any ears? So it doesn't matter if you scream when you find it.
Oh, that's just for rabbits. Don't scream when you see a rabbit.
Got it.
So next time you're out on a walk, look hard for baseballs. But don't scream when you find one. Your peoples may think you have gone crazy! :)

You must have really fertile baseball fields, to grow you so many nice baseballs for the picking. I think our growing season for baseballs is shorter up here. We hardly ever find any. But then, we live in the 'burbs with no baseball fields nearby,so ours might be wild baseballs and not the larger domestic baseballs you seem to enjoy. Excellent retrieving, young Jack.

ReplyDeleteOR.........you could find lots of baseballs, footballs, soccer balls, tennis balls and basketballs in your yard if you live next door to 3 teenagers!!Some days Mom and Dad see all of them in our yard at one time. There is always a bouncy bouncy noise coming from next door. Mom says she doesn't understand how one 16 year old can bounce a ball that many times.

I am confused. To find a baseball you have to find a baseball field. We find tennis balls all the time and we don't have a tennisball field. Are we doing it wrong?
