People Park

Wouldn't it be nice to have a place where you can go and play with peoples?  It's nice being able to play with lots of different dogs, but sometimes you just need that extra feeling you get when you're with a bunch of people and everyone is paying attention to you and petting you and scratching your butt and telling you what a good boy you are.

I think they should open up a people park right next door to the dog park.  That way, if you felt like playing with people, you could go inside the fence and there would be a bunch of people running around and throwing balls and Fribsees and just in general 'acting a fool' as the TG would say.

Although I think we might have to draw the line with the sniffing thing.  That's not a pretty picture no matter how you look at it!

Welcome to Jack's Dog Park!!

The new dog park near my house finally opened!  So the tall guy crawled off the couch out of his deathbed and took me.

Evidently some dog came by before the cement got dry and left his footprints in the sidewalk!

I have NO idea what this means.  Evidently you're supposed to walk behind your dog with a hoe.

This was one of the biggest bones I've ever seen. I wonder if it was a dinosaur park before it was a dog park!

And we finally got to go in. I was the first one in the big dog side, so I got to smell all the smells first!

I even smelled the rocks to make sure that they were new!

There is a dog bowl built right into the water fountain.

There were so many things to do, I couldn't decide which one I wanted to do first, so I just stood there and was amazed!

So if you come to visit me, we will go to Jack's Dog Park and run around and play with the fribsee.  That is, if The People's Court is not on the teevees...

I told him not to do it!

Someone saw the video of me rolling around on the grass and said that the tall guy should join me.  Well he did and now he's doing nothing but laying on the couch watching "The People's Court" on the teevees because he hurt his back!  He said it hurts so much we can only go walking for 10 miles each day instead of the normal 250 miles each day that we used to walk*.  He can't even get to the camera, so he had to use his phone to take this picture of me biting my lip and looking concerned.


Oh well.  Maybe he'll be better by this weekend so we can go to the opening of the new dog park that is near the house.  Keep tuned...

*  Please note that it doesn't hurt so much that he can't get up off the couch and get himself a Pepsi whenever he feels like it! Uh-huh!

ALL ABOUT THEM.  But we had so many wonderful-est pictures, it is going to be really hard to decide which one wins.  So, I'm going to ask the Tall Guy to explain how we are going to pick the winner.

TG:  Thank you, Bobby and Cissy!*  As Jack said, we received so many great pictures, we are going to have to have a run-off.  The first round of the contest will last until 5:00 PM, Monday, May 14.  You can vote for 5 of your favorite pictures.  (You have to be honest and not vote for more than 5.)  You can vote by selecting your choice(s) in the box on the right.  After the end of the first round, we will tally the votes, and the top FIVE who have received the most votes** will go into the finals.  You will then be able to vote for your favorite.  So remember, vote for your top 5 between now and Monday.  And you've already had 2 cookies today, so no more cookies until bedtime!  (That last sentence was meant for Jack.  Everyone else can have as many cookies as they want!  Unless they don't have any cookies in their house.  Then I guess they'll have to go to the grocery store if they want a cookie!)
