Does this grass make my butt look big?

Two of my favorite things:  grass and shadows.

I have a place that I like to stop each of our 16 daily walks.  The tall guy can't figure out why I always like to stop at the same place, but it's really just because I'm not in any big hurry to get back home.

The weather here has been wonderfulness.  The tall guy says he can't believe that it's July.  He even pushed his noisy baby stroller all over the grass at 3 o'clocks today.  He said he could NEVER do that in Arizona.  (I think that was because we didn't have any grass in Arizona, but whatever makes him happy.)  I haven't figured out what he's doing, but he just walks back and forth until he gets tired, I guess, and then he's done.  Maybe he's practicing for when he does get a baby.

Look at me. I'm a LEGO!!

You can turn yourself into a LEGO picture.

If you want to be a LEGO picture, you can go here and do it:

http://me.brickapic.com/index.php

I hope they make a lot of money so that you can really turn yourself into LEGOs.  It would be cool to break yourself apart and put yourself together again!!
Wouldn't that be fun?  And painful! :)

Well, not really painful.

And don't eat the piece that has your eyes on it!

Fractured Fryday Hairy Tails

I can't believe I actually touched....

I have nothing to say.

Actually, I don't think this might count as touching.
I think someone throwed them on my head
WITHOUT MY PERMISSION!

And then that same someone had the
audacity to take a picture of me
with the socks on my head.

And these were not NEW socks, mind you.
These were fresh feet socks.

And by fresh feet socks,
I mean socks that just came off of someone's feets.

Don't be surprised if you see these out in the backyard
if you come to visit!

That is if anything is left of them.

Le Tour de Jack

The tall guy and I have been watching the Tour de France every day.  It comes on at 5 o'clocks in the morning, but we just let the TV record it and then we watch it later in the day.  The tall guy does not like 5 o'clocks in the morning.  He is more of a 10 o'clocks type of guy.

The tall guy says he likes seeing all the trees and the mountains and all the towns that the bicycle riders go through.  I have been looking for Bob and Sophie, but I have not seen them yet.  We must not have gotten to their house yet.  I am sure they will invite all the bicycle riders to have something to eat with them and that the 'font' will fix something delicious.

So, Bob and Sophie, if the bike riders come by your house, please bark "Bonjour!" so that we can all say that we saw you on le tele.

Au revoir!

All these bedtime stories have
made me sleepy!

PS.  This is the room I'm not usually allowed to go into.
I wonder if there's a present for me that the tall guy
is hiding in there!

Both Sides Now...

The tall guy is very happy when it's cloudy and we go out on our walks.  He doesn't seem to be in as big of a hurry so I get to stop more often and smell the roses (or the trees or the grass or the whatever it is I want to smell).

Last week was not very cloudy, so we didn't get to walk as far as we normally do (although if it's too sunny, we get to go to the place with the creek to walk, so, for me, it's a win-win situation).

It rained yesterday and it's supposed to rain all this week, so hopefully he'll be in a good mood and we will get to walk for a long time.

If not, I'll just have to stay in and watch Judge Judy with him.

Dem bonez...

After the deliciousness that was the deer antler, the tall guy decided to get me a big bone to chew on
for a while.

I think he ordered it from some place
in South America.
It came from the Amazon.

He said it cost him $25.00
plus shipping and handling.
I don't know if that is a lot
or not, but he spends that much
when he goes to the store
just to buy Pepsis, so I think it's
a pretty good deal.

I did chew on it,
for about 2 minutes.

Oh I still chew on it ever now and again
when the mood hits me,
but not a lot.

I'm not sure, but I don't think I'll
be getting any more $25.00 bones
plus shipping and handling
in the near future!

22 seconds with me...

The tall guy was reading some of the doggy blogs and saw where it is pretty hot where some of our friends live.  It is very hot where we used to live, but it's been really nice and cool here where we live now.

Here is a short video of me walking near our house.  This is one of our favorite places to walk because there are a lot of trees and a really pretty, uh, I think the tall guy said it is a 'crik'.  So, a really pretty crik to look at while we are walking.

However, on the other hand, it was that same crik that upset my stomach when we first moved here, so I don't get to swim in it any more :(

Oh well, it's still pretty cool (both figuratively and literally).

PS If you can't see the video on the blog, you can see it here:
http://youtu.be/eMRv6VOsFxg

Enjoy the coolness!

PPS Sorry that the tall guy is holding the camera the wrong way.  He says it's hard enough trying to get a video while we're walking.

PPPS   I think it's just that he forgets to turn it sideways!

My Latest Trick

 I learned a new trick.

When we are out on a walk, and I feel the need to roll around in the grass or just to stop and smell for a while, I make sure that we are somewhere so that the tall guy is in the shade.

If we are NOT in the shade, the tall guy keeps saying "Come on" or "Let's go".  Even if I want to stop for a while.

I don't think he's caught on yet that I know the secret!

So don't tell him, ok?

Thank you.

Best Elk Antlers
a review
by Jack

The tall guy gets a LOT of emails asking him to review things for dogs.  Normally, we don't like to review things (because some things, like food, may be good for one dog but not another) or the things they are asking him to review are not anything that I would like (puppy pads?  Really?)

But when he got an email from the Best Elk Antler people, I begged him to please, please, please, mr. postman, let me try them.  I even told him that I would personally (doggonally) write the review.  So he said ok.

First of all, I want to tell you that they come in different sizes, so you need to make sure that you get the right size for your pet.

We got the big ones that were split.

That way you get 3 or 4 in each bag.  3 or 4 is good!

Here you see a picture of me as I was, as the tall guy says, "going to town".  I'm not sure what he meant, as we didn't go anywhere, but I think he meant to say that I really enjoyed chewing on the antler.

Here you can see what happens after about 20 minutes of chewing.  The tall guy was amazed because normally I can chew through anything in about 2 minutes!  The tall guy had to finally take it away from me as it was starting to get pointy :(

All in all, I really liked the antlers.  The tall guy said that if I can chew on it for 20 minutes, it would probably last for like 15 years for most dogs.

So I would like to thank the Best Elk Antler people for letting us try their antlers.  Although, I'm not sure it is actually people antlers.  But that might be interesting too!

PS.  Dear Best Elk Antler people, you can send me more antlers any time you like!  Oh, and the tall guy said, if you could send them in a BMW ActiveHybrid 7, that would be cool too!

Little me...

Big banana pudding...

Once again, the tall guy just took off and did not take me.  He said he had to get some banana pudding.  He was gone for like 3 years.  Well, maybe it just seemed like 3 years.

And I did not even get no banana pudding when he got home.

(Oh, he said something about meeting his sister, but I know it was just for the banana pudding.)

For all my dog friends back in Arizona

This is called "GREEN":

This is called "WATER":

This is called "ROLLING AROUND IN THE GRASS":

I have NO idea what this is. It's just something that fell out of a tree!

Don't you see it?

Look really close.

Now do you see it?

It's ok.  I didn't see it either.

The tall guy was washing off the lawn mower yesterday and he saw some pine needles sticking out of the place where he keeps the hose.  He opened it up and was getting ready to blast out the pine needles, when he saw it.

There's a BIRD'S NEST in there.  With 4 blue eggs.

WHEW!! That was close.

The mama bird wasn't in there, but we're pretty sure she was watching us, because he saw her in there this morning.

So, before you blast something with the hose, make sure you look and see if there is a bird around.

You'll be glad you did!

A walk in the woods...

A poem,
by Jack

We went a-walkin' in the woods,
all on a sunny day.
The leaves and trees and even birds,
watched us on our way.

The shade was cool,
the air was clean,
The path, it had been trod,
We walked, first slow
and then some fast,
upon the dampy sod.

Oh won't you come and walk with us,
as we go along our way.
When we get done,
we'll go to McDonald's,
and the tall guy will always pay!

===

PS.  I'm sorry that some of you could not see the video
on here the other day.
But trust me, it was really funny!

What does a guy have to do to get
some sleep around here?

While I TRY to take a nap, you can watch this video:

Unlike the lady in the video,
I didn't think that was very funny.

WHAT???

You're going to sit there and eat some delicious foods and not give me any?

You do know how hard I work all day right?

Plus the fact that I hardly ever bother you when you're on the computer?

I always pick up my toys and put them back in the box when you ask me to!

And now you're going to not share whatever it is that you're eating that I probably love?

What?  It's chocolate ice cream?

I bet I would LOVE chocolate ice cream!!

Who said that dogs aren't supposed to eat chocolate?

Well NERTZ to them!!

Yes, it is beautiful.

Oh, you meant the water and the trees.  I thought you meant this spot on the ground where someone peed.

The water is pretty too, I guess.
