February 2, 2015

Well, it's raining outside...

so what else is a guy supposed to do but take a nap.

I just figured out that the tall guy is getting very lazy in taking pictures of me to put on here.  You would think that he actually has something to do.  He was gone almost every night last week because he had to sing something called the Verdi Requiem (I had to ask him how to spell that so I would make sure I got it right.)  Evidently singing takes a lot of time, so I guess I'll let it go just this once.  He also got excited because he found out that some people in Italy and the Netherlands are going to play some of the music that he wrote.  He gets excited over things like that.

We went to the vegetarian last week for my check-up and shots.  It didn't even bother me when they gave me a shot for the rabbits.  I don't want to get the rabbits, because I heard it will make you feel very bad.  I also got my nails trimmed, so I guess I got a mani-pedi (mani-pawi?)  I had some other stuff done as well, but I was told it's not polite to talk about such stuff in mixed company.  And the tall guy didn't even say anything when he had to give the vegetarian all his credit cards to pay.  Isn't he a good guy?

It's been cold here, but we still go out and walk every day, even when the wind is blowing and it's so cold you could see your breath coming out of both ends!  I don't mind it, but the tall guy has to spend 2 hours getting ready every morning putting on his hat and gloves and sweaters and coats and.... sheesh, wouldn't it be easier if he was just covered in fuzz like me.

The tall guy said to tell you that he is reading your blogs but he doesn't always comment because he's usually laying in the bed reading them on his iPads and it's hard to type when you're laying flat on your back in the dark.  I told him if he wanted to tell you that, he should start his own blog.  Needless to say, he did not think that was very funny.

So, we hope you're having a wonderful Febriary and that you are staying nice and warm (if it is cold where you live) or nice and cool (if it is warm where you live).

  1. Wow, Jack - CONGRATULATIONS to the very talented tall guy for receiving recognition for the beautiful music that he composes!!! How wonderful!!!

I'm glad you had a good visit with the vegetarian, even though there were some unexpected "surprises" in it for you. It's a good thing you have a sense of humor! :-)

A nice cozy nap is always a great idea, no matter what the weather is doing or what time of the day it is - in fact a nap is my idea of happy hour.

Your breath coming out of both ends - LOL!!!!

Have a great week, and congrats again to the tall guy!

    Your friend,
    Nancy

  2. Great idea to nap away a rainy day! So happy for TG's wonderful music news!

Mom and the girls take me for my checkup in spring break when there's no school and the girls can come along with me.

Mom just finished reading "The Book of Barkley" and got all weepy - she promised no more sad lab stories after the "Marley & Me" tearfest but.......Well, I got lots of hugs and treats out of it anyway!

So cold here that I just broke my tennis ball in half! It was frozen solid and too brittle for the labra-jaws of doom!

    1. Tell your mom that she might want to read my book "Jack: A book about a dog where the dog doesn't die at the end" if she hasn't already read it!

Congratulations to the Tall Guy, it's good to know his music is played all over. You're a very lucky Lab, Jack, to have him take such good care of you. Even if it means a visit to the vegetarian every now and then, and stuff done that it's not polite to talk about in mixed company. We get lots of shots too, so we don't get rabbits either, or any other nasty things, and we wear a special collar so the fleas and ticks don't bite us.

  9. Jack we are so very excited for TG too. OMDs I hope he is able to hear/watch the European performances!! I have to ask...well because I'm a curious cat...does TG sing to you and does he sing in the shower?

OMDs no one wants rabbits...because I'm told once you have one you all of a sudden had 87 million. Did you get your nails painted too?

Warm hugs from your fav kitty cat
