Who turned off the air conditioning?

For some reason, it turned VERY hot here a few days ago.  It got so hot that I don't even want to go on a long walk.  I'd rather go on a short walk and find somewhere in the shade to sit and take in the smells.

So, whoever it was that turned off the coolness,
would you please turn it back on?  I will tell the tall guy to send you some money to help pay your electrisical bill!

PS:  Don't forget about the Blogville Rodeo.
You still have time to send your pictures to the tall guy for the trick riding.  You can get the 4-1-1 here:

I smell something exciting!
(which is much better than when the tall guy says I smell frightening.)

Blogville is having a RODEO!!

And look-ee there!!

The tall guy and I have been put in charge of the trick writing.

So if you can do any special kind of writing,
heck, even if you can write at all,
please send your ...
what?
Are you sure?

I've just been informed by the tall guy that it's not trick WRITING,
it's trick RIDING!

Oh, well that makes more sense then.

So if you think you'd like to do this:

or this:

or even this:

make sure you get your pictures to the tall guy
by July 2, 2015
so you can be part of the trick RIDING event
at the Blogville Rodeo!

The tall guy said you can send your pictures to
jacksdad2011@gmail.com
and please put
"TRICK RIDING" as the subject of the email.

PS.  Maybe we can do the trick writing at the NEXT rodeo!!

I just wanted to help!

The plumb-er came to fix the drippy sink.  I think it has been drippy for like 3 months now, but for some reason the tall guy decided he needed to get it fixed TODAY!  So, he called the plumb-er.  I don't know why he didn't call the drip-er, but anyway.

I was all excited because I thought I was going to get to help and look what happened.  I got stuck outside.  For like 201 hours while the plumb-er was fixing the drip.  Actually it was like 10 minutes, but I COULD'VE been stuck outside if the plumb-er had taken a long time.
I was going to hand him all the renches and screwdrivers and stuff, but no.  I was being a new-sense, so I had to go outside.  I could've come back inside through my dog window, but I know that when the tall guy gives me that LOOK, that it was better for me to stay outside for a while.

So now we have no drippy faucets, which is good so that we won't waste water.  Now if we can just get someone to come clean out all the leafs from the gutters, the tall guy will be happy!

May 17, 2015

I think we've played enough now!

I told the tall guy that he probably should change the name of my blog to

"Not so Daily Dose of Jack", because he has gotten very bad about telling you about my adventures on here.  I remember when he used to write whole BOOKS
just about me.  But it's ok.  That just means that there is more time for us to go on walks and to play outside.  Especially now that the weather is so nice.
It hasn't even been really hot yet, except for a few days, so it means that we can stay outside more often.

We have had some loud thunderstorms, but those are usually at 3AM.  The tall guy LOVES getting up at 3AM and sitting with me until the storms go past.  He's pretty good about doing that and he doesn't even fuss.

Oh and another good thing is that I get to eat a new kind of foods.  The tall guy said that we both need to lose a few libbies.  I do not know what these LBS are, but evidently you aren't supposed to have too many of them.  So, the tall guy is eating more salats (BOO! - but sometimes he puts chicken on them - YAY Chicken!) and I'm eating food that is supposed to help me lose my weights.  So, if you find any weights when you are out walking, they might be mine, but that's ok, you can keep them.

I think all this got started when the tall guy went to his human vet and the vet was happy that he had lost 10 lbs (the tall guy - not the vet.  We don't know if the human vet lost any lbs).  But as long as I still get to eat 3 times a day, I guess I'll be ok.

Other than that, we are doing goods, even though the tall guy is sad that The Amazing Race is over for a while.  I am not allowed to talk during The Amazing Race.  I don't know why it's called Amazing as the people don't even have any dogs with them!  They should have to race around the world with their dog.  Now THAT would be AMAZING! :)

WHAT?

I didn't know you needed that bowl.
You should have said something!

Take me on a walk!

These trees are very beautifuls.

I'm sorry I eated your bowl.

Well, I really didn't eat it,
as much as deconstructed it.

Can we go back to the trees?

April 22, 2015

We are still here!

We did not get blowed away by the thunders or the lightnings or the tornado warnings or all the rains (but we did have to go hide in the closet for a couple of nights at 3AM because of the storms.  For some reason the tall guy is not a very pleasant person when I wake him up at 3AM to tell him that it is storming outside).

On the other hand,  the tall guy did find a brand new trail for us to walk on.  There were lots and lots of brand new smells for us to smell,
although, to be quite honest, I don't think the tall guy's nose is working very well.  He just walks by some of the best smells
and keeps on going.

He even went today and rode his bicycles on the new trail.  He said you can go for a long way on the path before it becomes too bumpy for the bicycles.  For some reason, I do not get to ride the bicycles.
I do not even HAVE a bicycles.
Or any kind of cycles.

The tall guy said he would take me back on the trail sometime this week.  I hope so, because except for the rains and thunders and lightnings and tornados, it has been most beautific outside.
I even like to go sleep outside so I can catch some rays!

So, until the next thunderstorm,
I remain,
your friend Jack!

Hey, wait a minute...

That's not a bone!

It's ok.  I'll eat it anyway!

Rain, rain...
and more rain.

Well, all the snows disappeared but now we have a bunch of rains.  It has been raining every day.  You can see how much rain we got in the pictures.  The first one was taken before the rain started and the second one was taken two days later!  (I am not in the 2nd picture, just in case you were wondering if I was covered up with the water!)

Some days, it stops raining long enough for us to run around the neighborhood on what may be 'generously' called a walk.  It seems that the tall guy doesn't like going on our normal 3 1/2 walk when he's getting wet.  I try to tell him that all the smells will get washed away, but somehow that doesn't seem to matter to him.  Maybe his nose is still stuffed up from the cold he had.

It is supposed to stop raining for a few days, but then start again later in the week.  I looked at the weather apple on the tall guy's phone and that's what it said.  So, I guess we'll be inside where it's nice and warm.  Now if we could only find the remote for the teevees.

Stay dry!

Snows, snows, snows...

We finally got a bunch of snows.  It was snow-tastic.  We had a great time playing in the snow until...
the tall guy decided to get a cold.  And I don't mean the kind of cold you get when you're outside playing in the snow and the wind is blowing and you have to hurry up and get back inside.  I mean the kind of cold where you get REALLY grumpy and don't want to play and just want to lay around the house all day and not do anything but you still have to go to the store and buy a bunch of -Quils and pills.

But, fortunately, he is getting better now.  Thank goodness.  I was afraid I was going to have to take him to the vegetarian.

Puppies roasting by an open fire...

Well, I'm not actually roasting.

And it's not really an open fire.

And I'm not exactly a puppy.

But,' Jack feeling pretty good sitting in front of the fireplace which is protected by both a fireplace screen and a metal curtain' doesn't sound quite as good.

Stay warm!

SNOWS!!

We finally got some snows, although we did not get a lot.  I think we got about 10 snows, but it was still fun to walk in and see your feets prints.  The tall guy was a bit unhappy when I started running, because he said he really did not feel like falling down and breaking his neck, so I had to slow down because I did not want him to fall down and break anything, because he gets really really grumpy when he breaks things.

It was rainy and cold yesterday.  Last night, we had a commotion.  There were a bunch of police cars and fire cars with all their lights and sirens behind the house.  I don't even mind when the sirens come because that's just how I roll.

Anyway, it seems that someone missed the curve in the road behind our house last night and ran off the road and then, when all the polices came, they could not find the person who had been driving the car.  (The only reason I know all of this is that the tall guy was nosy and asked the polices behind the house what was going on.)  So, if you see anyone looking for their car, please tell them that the polices have it and they would most certainly like to have a talk with them!

Someone had better be glad...

that I don't know how to take pictures.  You should see how HE looks when he first wakes up in the morning!

Let me tell you.  It's not a pretty sight.

February 2, 2015

Well, it's raining outside...

so what else is a guy supposed to do but take a nap.

I just figured out that the tall guy is getting very lazy in taking pictures of me to put on here.  You would think that he actually has something to do.  He was gone almost every night last week because he had to sing something called the Verdi Requiem (I had to ask him how to spell that so I would make sure I got it right.)  Evidently singing takes a lot of time, so I guess I'll let it go just this once.  He also got excited because he found out that some people in Italy and the Netherlands are going to play some of the music that he wrote.  He gets excited over things like that.

We went to the vegetarian last week for my check-up and shots.  It didn't even bother me when they gave me a shot for the rabbits.  I don't want to get the rabbits, because I heard it will make you feel very bad.  I also got my nails trimmed, so I guess I got a mani-pedi (mani-pawi?)  I had some other stuff done as well, but I was told it's not polite to talk about such stuff in mixed company.  And the tall guy didn't even say anything when he had to give the vegetarian all his credit cards to pay.  Isn't he a good guy?

It's been cold here, but we still go out and walk every day, even when the wind is blowing and it's so cold you could see your breath coming out of both ends!  I don't mind it, but the tall guy has to spend 2 hours getting ready every morning putting on his hat and gloves and sweaters and coats and.... sheesh, wouldn't it be easier if he was just covered in fuzz like me.

The tall guy said to tell you that he is reading your blogs but he doesn't always comment because he's usually laying in the bed reading them on his iPads and it's hard to type when you're laying flat on your back in the dark.  I told him if he wanted to tell you that, he should start his own blog.  Needless to say, he did not think that was very funny.

So, we hope you're having a wonderful Febriary and that you are staying nice and warm (if it is cold where you live) or nice and cool (if it is warm where you live).

OH NO! SNOW!!

We're gonna get snowed in and then we won't be able to go to the store and then we will run out of food and then we will starve and then we will not be able to turn on the heat and then we will freeze and we won't even be able to make no snowman.  What will we do????

What?

Oh, this is all the snow there is?

We won't get snowed in and then go to the store and not run out of food and not starve and be able to turn on the heat and not freeze?

Oh.

I bet we still won't be able to make no snowman!

Evidently I am an ex-con...

One of these is me, but I don't know which one.  I was only 7 weeks old and already locked away in prison!  I think I might be the one trying to get out under the fence.

Fortunately the tall guy came and paroled me a few weeks after this picture was taken.  It's a good thing too, because I almost had that fence thing figured out.  And then I would have been on the lamb.  And I would have really looked funny riding on the back of a sheep.

Oh.

The tall guy just informed me that I meant to say "on the lam".  I'm not too sure he's right.  After all, I don't think we get 'woo' from the 'shee', now do we?

Your friend,
Jac

January 6, 2015

Today's Word of the Day is:

BRRRRRRRRRRRRR!

Can you say 'BRRRRRRRRR'?
I know you can!

The tall guy said it was about 20 little circles this morning,
and that was even when he finally got out of bed.

I had been up and outside about 15 times by then,
so he wasn't telling me anything new.
It was a lot colder when I got up.

I found our Christmas tree.
Someone had put it outside by the curb
so that the recycle people could pick it up.
I looked under it but there weren't any more presents.
I wonder if they had already been recycled.

We had a pretty good New Years Eve.
Evidently I slept through all the fireworks.
I really couldn't hear them
because the tall guy had the television turned up
really LOUD
so that he could watch The Twilight Zone merrython.
Well, let me tell you, it didn't seem so merry to me.

We hope you had a good NYE too!

Someone stoled our tree!

and I wish they would please bring it back.
Whenever there's a tree in the house,
I always get a bunch of new stuff!

I wonder if this is to eat or to play with?
It doesn't matter, I'll just play with it then I'll eat it!

MMMM, I like buffalo!

MMM, I like rope!

MMMM, I don't know what this is,
but I like it too!

I hope no one stoled your tree
and you got lots of fun things too!

WHAT A GREAT DAY!!!

Look at this great BOX I got from Sadie

It is famatastics!

As you can see, it had some other stuff in it too,
but I got to 'play' with the box first.

(To be honest, I got to play with the stuffy too,
once the tall guy gave him a hair/label cut.
I have a tendency to tear off labels and hairs,
so he has to take care of that for me
before I get to play with anything.)

So thank you Sadie (and her family)
for my wonderful gifts.

PS.  I got a lot of stuffs yesterday.
I don't know why, but I even got to go to
the tree and get them.
Maybe it was "Be Really Nice to Jack Day!"

(The tall guy just said EVERY day is BRNTJD.)

He said he'll put up some more pictures later
after I go to sleep and he can clean up all the
papers that somehow got all over the house.

We hope you had a wonderful day too!
