Today on Walking With Jack

The creek near our house

But I don't WANT to go home yet!!

The tall guy said he wanted
to buy me a GPS to put on my collar.
I do not even know what
no GPS is, but he said to ask any of you if you
use one and what kind you use.
He said he didn't want me to get lost
and not be able to find me.

I'm hoping it comes in peanut butter flavor!!

  2. We don't have GPS either. You are a lucky pup to live next to a creek.

  4. Only mom and dad use a gps. If TG is going to get you one that means there are fun places for you to explore!!

    1. Jack, are you going to drive your own car??? That is really cool! Maybe you can be on the tee vees just like that pig in the convertible! That's the only GPS I know about, the one in the car. So sorry I couldn't be a better help. Just don't run away or you will never get no more cookies!
      There TG, that should help.

  11. Dear Jack,

WOW - what a great creek!!!

I think a GPS is an excellent idea - maybe the tall guy could check with the local K-9 handlers and see what type they use, 'cuz I'm sure they have the bestest there is. :-)

Also, do you have a microchip? That could be of great help, too, if you ever get separated from the tall guy (which I sincerely hope you won't)....but I know how you labs are - always concentrating on the smells, and not necessarily watching where you're going!

My golden retriever got away from me once, and thank GOODNESS a neighbor down the street was in his yard cooking hot dogs on the grill, and she stopped to try and get one from him. That was the only thing that slowed her down enough that I could get her back! I had quite the conversation with her on the way home.....

    Your friend,
    Nancy

  12. TAGG, its a GPS locator on the collar and an APP on your phone to track the wayward dog. You can also program it to a certain area; the yard, and if Jack leaves that area you are sent a text with his location. $99 on Amazon and about
    $8.00 month monitoring fees.
