And now,
for the most anticipated event
of the past 24 hours!!

(No, it's not who got kicked off
of Top Chef DC!)

What does 'CODING BOY' mean?

After giving much puppy eyes to the tall guy, he finally decided to tell me that 'CODING BOY' was something that he thought up one day on one of our walks during which I was not on my best behavior.

COME ON

Notice how tight my string is - that means the Tall Guy
is at the end of his rope! :)

DROP IT

I was just checking to see if they had
developed flavored plastic yet.

NO

What? I was just making sure
there were not sharp edges!

and
GOOD BOY

with an occasional 'Jack' thrown in for good measure!

The tall guy said he noticed that when we were out on our walks, he was always having to say 'Come On' or 'Drop It', or 'No', or 'Good BOY'. So, he came up with 'CODING BOY'.

I asked him if this was the kinds of things he thought about when we were out walking and he said yes.

I'm surprised we haven't been run over by a car by now.

We'll close today's blog with a little tap dancing just because we can!

CODING BOY!!

Evidently, the tall guy has decided that since he has to say THE SAME THINGS to me every time we go out for a walk, he's going to nickname me CODING BOY.

I told him that was a pretty cool nickname because it made me sound
like a superhero or something.
Batman: Hi, I'm Batman.
Superman: I'm Superman.
Jack: I'm Coding Boy!

Batman: I have lots of toys and live in a cave.
Superman: I can fly and have super strength.
Me: And I can..
I have...
Wait, what power does Coding Boy have?

The tall guy says I have to power to ignore him completely
when we are out on our walks.
Works for me!!

I wonder what CODING BOY really means?

The tall guy said if I was really good tonight,
he would tell me what it means tomorrow
and then I can tell you! :)

DROPIT!!

Do you have a drop it?
Something that you have to pick up no matter how many times you've been told not to.
Something that calls to you in your dreams.

This is mine:
The dreaded lollipop stick

I pick up a lot of these out on our walks and the tall guy always has to tell me to drop it.
Doesn't he know that I'm addicted to them?
Doesn't he know that these are like doggy cigarettes?
I wonder if there's a lollipop patch?

The Lolli-patch!

GOAL!!!

I've got the World Cup fevers!

Well, actually it's more like 'eat the ball' fever!

I think this may be why I don't get to play soccer!

Since I am half English and half American,
it was very hard to decide who to root for
in the soccer match yesterday.
So, I wished that both teams would win.

Boy, am I good! :)

I would like to thank you!!

To whoever it was that invented this SHADE stuff,
I want to thank you.
The tall guy said it was 105 of those little circle things
last week, so the only place we can keep cool
when we go out walking is in the SHADE.

Do you sell SHADE on the Internets?
If so, I would like to buy about 5 SHADES.
Does it come in different sizes?
I need the big puppy size.
That way I can have SHADES
with me wherever I go.
Oh, and one Tall Guy size too please.
Thank you.
= = = = =

Oh and this is not embarassing at all:

Well Why Didn't You Tell Me?

Do you see this happy face?
Do you see this WET happy face?

Well, come to find out, there is
MORE THAN ONE LAKE!
And no one told me!!

So after we had breakfast,
the tall guy said we were going for a ride.
I thought we were just going to the park like we usually do.
But no,
we drove for a little bit and then look at what we found:

It was a WHOLE NEW LAKE!
It has a lot more water than Rose Canyon,
but it also has boats on it.
So, as you can see,
I had to wear my string.
But I still got to play in the water!
And isn't that what is important?

The tall guy said we were in some place
called Patty's Begonia.
But I didn't see any flowers
or even anyone named Patty for that matter!

But I did see this cool thing.
The tall guy said it is called a BRUDGE.
I didn't want to go up on it at first,
because it is SO high...

But then I decided, what the heck!
You could see everything from up there.
I may have even seen Tank!

And then, when we got to the other side of the brudge,
look at what happened...
That's right. No string! Since there weren't any peoples or boats around, the tall guy let me play in the water for a little while without my string.
Unfortunately, I got so excited, I kinda sorta ran away down the path, and the tall guy had to come running after me,
and he kinda sorta got scratched up by a tree,
so I kinda sorta had to wear my string again.
But he wasn't even mad.
He knew how excited I was.
(Boy, does he bleed a lot when he gets scratched!!)

By then, I was pretty wet and tired,
so we decided it was time to come back home.
So I told him thank you for taking me to the new lake
and I would like to come back again some time.

And you know what?
He said that I looked so happy
that we would most definitely come back some time.
And I got so excited,
I peed in the car!

PS - It's ok. I was just so happy,
I forgot to tell him I needed to go.
You won't even notice if you come visit
and we ride to the lake!

PPS - The tall guy said he was trying this new template.
I asked him if there was any food on it,
and he said it wasn't that kind of plate.
Please let him know what you think.

STRINGS!!

Yes, you noticed that I had to wear my string yesterday when I was at the water. Evidently, my new name when I am near water is 'HELEN WHEELS'. So, not only am I not allowed off the string, but I've had a sex change as well.

Seriously, this tends to cramp my style, as I can't go exploring more than 8 feet away from the tall guy. I get my revenge by trying to pull him into the water, which he does not seem to enjoy very much. Especially when I am running down the hill dragging him behind me. We do not have any pictures of that. Something about breaking his neck when I pull him and if I pull him in the water, I will not be a happy puppy.

See! I can't even get in the deep water when I'm wearing my string!

He said we would try to find some water that did not have people around so I could play without my string, but it was too crowded with people doing something called 'FISHING' when we were there.

Speaking of which, I need to ask you about this 'FISHING' stuff. We saw a LOT of people with sticks at the water. All of the sticks had strings on them. BUT, I guess all the puppies on the strings were under the water because I did not see any of them.

I looked for them under the water:
but I still did not see them. I would like to know how come all these peoples make their puppies go under the water while they are on their strings. And how do these puppies can stay under water for so long? I would like to play with some of the underwater puppies but I can not hold my breath that long (and the water gets in my nose).

So if you have any ideas about how I can find the underwater puppies, please let me know. And if you know how to keep the water from getting in my nose, I would like to know that too. But if you would like a picture of me running toward the water while the tall guy is trying to keep from sliding down the hill with my string in one hand and the camera in the other, well, that ain't gonna happen!

At Rose Canyon Lake!

As Jed Clampett would say,
WELL DOGGIES!!
We went back up to the lake today.
Unfortunately, there were a lot of people there.
(I'll tell you more about THAT tomorrow!)
But I still got to play in the water.
So, when you come visit me,
we will go play in the water too.
Unless you don't like the water.
Then, you can watch me play in the water
and we will eat cookies on the way home
(which is about as good as it gets!)

And for all the peoples out there,
do you know what movie the music is from?
First one to guess right gets to be
THE FIRST ONE WHO GUESSES RIGHT! :)

(NFTTG: Sorry the pictures are so small. Blogger is acting up
and won't let me post the bigger version of the slideshow.)

Some More Ramblins
from the Puppy Park

Excuse me!
I think your tail light is out.

(How come you don't ever see CATS doing this?)

Hey! What happened to your ear?
Hey! Hey!
What happened to your ear?
Hey! You!
Oh nevermind, I don't even care any more!
(Note from the Tall Guy: No idea!)

And here is Hawaii...

Look at that silly puppy
playing in the water.
He's getting water everywhere.
He's funny!

(NFTTG: Jack has a tendency to cool off* in the water containers
(*cool off = splash water all over himself) at the dog park.
He does not do this at home, so it's hard to train him
not to do it at the park. He then grabs the container and runs all over the park.
At least HE thinks it's fun!)

Well How Was I Supposed to Know?
Things I Have Learned The Hard Way

Well, how was I supposed to know that
you shouldn't eat the paper with pictures on it?

Evidently the tall guy had some type
of sentimental attachment to it.

I wonder if that's his dad or something...

Are We Done Yet?

86
That's how many pictures the tall guy took of me yesterday.
That's like almost a million!

And it wasn't just my face, it was stuff like this:
My FOOT!
How many pictures of a foot does one need?

He says he has to take a lot of pictures
just so he can get ONE that he likes.

I bet Remington doesn't have to put up with this!

Hrmmmmmmmm...

It has been brought to my attention that I do not have any water in my pool. I was unaware that one of the preconditions for having a 'pool' is that there should be water in it. A certain tall someone (who shall remain nameless) has evidently decided that I am not worth the .04¢ that it would take to put water in my so-called 'pool'. So, now I feel a bit foolish, as I was basically lounging around in a big plastic bowl, much like a giant Cheerio before you put in the milk.

With this in mind, I shall have a discussion with a certain tall someone regarding the water situation at the Jack Day Spa and Bait Shop. Thank you.

Come to think of it, I don't think I've seen any bait around here either. Something decidedly non-fishy is going on here.

(Note from the tall guy: Yes, many of the observant readers noticed that there is no water in Jack's pool. The reason that there is no water in the pool is that today is Jack's flea and tick medicine day and I do not like for him to get wet right before or right after he will get 'prevented'. Actually, don't tell him, but we're headed to the lake one day next week. But shhhh, it's a surprise!)

I met someone FAMOUS
at the park today!

Do you even want to TRY to guess?
No?
Ok, I'll give you a hint.
It was MISS CLEO!!

She told me that if I gave her $200.00,
she would be able to tell me if
I was going to get a cookie when I got home.

She also said that if I ....
What?
Oh, wrong Miss Cleo?
My bad.

This is the Miss Cleo that I met today.

She was a very nice puppy.
Her mom said she was 12 years old.
We even got to play a little without our strings.
She was very smiley the whole time.
AND she didn't want $200.00!

You know what?
I think I like MY Miss Cleo
better than the one who wants $200.00!
