when he goes away on the airplanes!

He goes looking for other dogs

playing in the water.

Uh-oh!!

I knew something was happening when he got out 

that bag with the wheels on it again.

Don't you know it, the tall guy is leaving me here 

ALL ALONE* for 4 days.

What if I don't have any food?

What if I don't get to go on any walks?

What if I can't change the tv channel?

I am beginning not to like airplanes one bit!

who is staying here with me.)

The tall guy said he had never seen

Of course, since it was so

exceedingly rare,

the picture he took is

not very good.

(I think the fact that I was pulling

on my string when he was trying

to take the picture didn't help.)

Can you believe it?

Someone yelled at me today.

I won't mention any names.

Just because I was trying to pick up a dead bird

that I found on the sidewalk.

I was told in no uncertain terms

that I was NOT to pick up

dead birds on the sidewalk.

Like I was supposed to know that!

Do you see what I see?

It might be kinda hard to see,

but there is an actual rabbit in the picture.

We see about 4000 of them when we take

our afternoon walk.

But they never want 

to stick around and talk.

But wait!

Do you see this?

Yes, it's a big old mud poodle.

I don't know why they call it a mud poodle.

They should call it a swimming poodle.

It has been raining here almost everyday.

It makes it very nice when we take

our afternoon walks

because it cools it down and the tall guy

is not in such a hurry to get back home.

I hope it's cool for your walks

wherever you are!!

Well, wouldn't you know it!!

The tall guy came back home and I was so excited

that I jumped up on the bed...

(not this bed, this is the bed he got to sleep in at the hotel),

so, I jumped up on the bed,

and I hurt my leg.

I think I've got a contusion oblongata!

He went to shopping mall that

had a river running right down the middle of it!

And he saw a Benny/Lily statue too!

But I'm still glad he's back.

Well, he's run off again.

The tall guy just told me he had to go somewhere

on an airplane for 2 days.

It must be really far away if you have to be

on the airplane for 2 days.

Oh, what's that?

He said he will be GONE for two days.

Well, he had better bring me back something good

or I will not give him no kiss when he gets back home!

In the meantime,

I don't know why they don't want the bees

It is REALLY scary!

If you watch the True Bloods on your teevees,

make sure that someone is there with you

so you won't be scared during the

scary parts!!

That's why I have to sit next to the tall guy

when we're watching it.

I CAN HAZ PIZZA?

Ever so often, the tall guy will take me with him

when he goes to get a pizza.

I have heard that there is something called

pepperonis and tomato sauce and cheese

on a pizza, but I would not know.

All the pizza I get to eat is

the bread part on the end.

It is quite delicious,

although I think I might like

a pepperonis sometime

just to see what the big deal is!

Taking a nap on the veranda

Even though it is eleventy-billion degrees later in the day, 

it's still cool enough in the morning to be able 

to take a nap outside.

We usually go out for our walk

and then I come back,

drink lots of water,

and then go outside for my

pre-pre-pre-nap.

(That's the nap I take before the nap I take 

before the nap I finally end up taking in the house.)

Also,

I do not know what is a 'veranda',

but I think it's a very nice word.

What have you done now?

It appears that the tall guy has hurt his back

(again).

He went to get something called an Ex-lax

to see if he was really hurt.

The Ex-lax shows all your bones and stuff

inside your body that you can't see because

of all the skin.

Fortunately, he still has all of his bones.

He thinks he has pulled a muscle.

So he's kinda grumpy right now.

 We've had to cut down our walks to under

26 miles each day.

But I walk slowly so he won't hurt his back

worse than it already is.

So if you don't hear from him for a few days,

it's ok.

He can still get up and get my food

(although water dish #1 is empty right now!)

Now I'll have to walk all the way across the room

to water dish #2!

I hope he gets better soon.

I'm tired of watching HGTV all day!

How did THIS happen?

I think I was going to get off the couch, but then I decided that it was too much work, so I just said to heck with it.

On another note, the tall guy has asked me to pass along some hopefully helpfully stuff to you.

1.  If you use an iPad or an Android device, sometimes you can't see the videos that people put on their blogs

(like the ones about Bob and Sophie in France).

The tall guy said if you get the PUFFIN Browser, you'll be able to see the videos. There is a free version and a version that costs like $2.99.  The tall guy says he uses the $2.99 version, which explains why I have not gotten any extra treats this month!!       

2.  He also said to remind you that if you use Google Reader to check out your blogs, it will be going away very soon.  He is looking at the Wordpress Reader.  You can transfer all your followed blogs to the Wordpress Reader.  (I have NO idea what all this means, but he said to tell you anyway!)

He said he likes Google Reader much better than Wordpress Reader, but if Google Reader is going away, he'll have to get used to using something new.

He said if you have any questions, please leave them below and he'll try to answer them if he can.  If you have found a good blog reader that you like, he would like to know about that too!

He also said that I am not supposed to chew on sticks when we are out on our walks and you see where that's gotten him!

So while I am left at home,

all by myself,

guarding against robbers,

and burglars, and all other kinds

of -ers and -ars,
look at what the tall guy is doing. 

 

Guarding is hard work!

ANYWAY..

the tall guy is off looking at houses!

He was glad when the hockey players won.

Well, he finally came home! 

Come to find out I was NOT supposed to keep my eyes closed the whole time.

I think he needs to make that a little clearer next time.

Anyway, I asked him where he had been and he said he had been SINGING.

And then I said, no really, where were you?

And he said he was singing music with some of his friends.

So I said prove it.

It's a mad house around here!!

The tall guy likes to put peanut butter on his vanilla wafers.  He takes 11 vanilla wafers out of the box (EXACTLY 11) and puts peanut butter on 5 of them, smooshes those 5 with peanut butter together with 5 vanilla wafers withOUT peanut butter (so he has 5 peanut butter vanilla wafer cookies) and then he eats the one that is left over.  I asked him why he did this and he said because it tastes better when you have 5.  Four is not enough and six is too many.  I then asked him why he ate the one vanilla wafer by itself.  He said it was just to show the rest of the vanilla wafers in the box who was the boss.

Uh-huh.

And then, to top it all off, I did not even get not one vanilla wafer with peanut butter on it.

Well, maybe I got PART of one, but he got 10.

11 if you count the one he ate by itself.

So, if the vanilla wafer people (Nabisconians) are reading this, please make sure that the number of vanilla wafers in the box is divisible by 11.

Or else I won't be responsible for what happens when the tall guy gets to the bottom of the box. 

PS.  I think you should put a picture of a dog on your box.  I'm available if you're looking for a spokes-dog!
