No I am not drunk!

I was just in the middle of falling asleep.

The tall guy said he is sorry he hasn't been online
much lately to write on all your blogs.
We did not have NO HEAT for 4 days and
we did not have NO WATER for 2 days.

It got very very cold, but the gas company
came and fixed the heat over the weekend.
There were about 14000 houses without gas
and the gas company had to go to each one
of them to turn the gas back on to make
sure no one got blowed up!

So we were cold and stinky and had to
go to the grocery store to go to the bathroom.
Well, the tall guy did.
I just did my normal thing.

  1. That's no good :(
When that happens around here, we pretend we are camping..Yay!
It's fun for like 3 hours!

  2. Well I'm glad you didn't blow up.

  3. Hi, Jack!
Sounds like you had a couple of interesting days!
We were without water for 2 days too! Ewwww!
    Kisses and hugs

  4. It's been really cold here too and we couldn't get any water out of the taps because it turned to ice. Dad works at a hotel, so he and Mum went there to get all cleaned up.

  5. Oh Jack, we are so sorry for what you and TallGuy have been going thru! And we are so glad you are back to blogging again!
    Hugs and wags, Mistaya

  6. Sorry bout the no heat/water stuffs. We have been missing you around. Glad to hear that it is all fixed up again!!

  7. Jack - Thank heavens you were there to sort everyhting out.

  8. Oh goodness! Thank heavens everything is working again! Glad you weren't in Saskatchewan when that happened or you would have gotten VERY COLD!! :)

  9. GOOD GRIEF!!!! Jack that was a real live horror movie. I am so sorry to read this. Mom said she knows what you went through. Well minus the cold part. When Hurricane Fran (September 1996) came through Raleigh Mom told me they were w/o power, water and air conditioning for 4 days. Absolutely not conditions in which, I the Diva, could have existed. Mom says to tell TG thanks for the link and LOL!!! Thank goodness all is well and TG is no longer stinky!
    Hugs Madi

  10. Jack,

Dat does not sound like fun at all! Happy dat you is back wif us now. :)

    Woofs and Licks,
    Maggie Mae

  11. Poor Jack! Stuck fur days in a cold house with an unwashed Tall Guy! Must have been terribly stressful for YOU.........

  12. Oh my, that's awful! I think you both deserve a few pints after that!

  13. That sounds like a whole bunch of no fun! We went 2 days without heat last year... it was pretty cold! Glad everything is back to good!

  14. Yikes! That does not sound like fun! I hope you cuddled up to the TG to keep him warm!

  15. I was wondering about you guys when I saw the problems you were having on the news. We went through that three years ago for two weeks. Bought a generator the next winter and haven't had to use it since.

  16. I'm so sorry to hear of your troubles. You'd be better off drunk than cold and stinky!!
Glad your better now. Stay sober.

  17. That is awful! You should have just come on up to MN. Probably warmer here! Atleast inside it was! Hope all is back to normal!

  18. So glad you are back on track. And on the toilet at your own place again.
Well, the TG at least. You just do your usual thing ~~

  19. Wow! I am surprised that TG did not go into tee vees withdrawl too! You should have saved him a trip to the store and just shown him how you do your thing! I know after I 'do my thing' I get zoomies like it is the best day ever! I don't get why peoples got to hide when they go!

  20. Such a cute picture, sorry to hear about your adventure the last few days.. but glad it's warm and stuff again!

  21. Woof! Woof! So sorry to hear that .. good thing your temp is not as cold as our temps (below zero) Brrrr. Hope you are sleeping well now. Lots of Golden Woofs, Sugar

  22. We dogs are so blessed to be able to keep warm in our fur coats and do our business wherever we please! Glad you got your gas and water back :)

  23. Camping at home! Awriiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight!

  24. Ye gads! Not what one expects when moving to the Eden of the Southwest! We infer you also lost electricity, as that's always the first to go. Well, it's all fodder for your book when the TG is emending and revising the galley proofs.
