April 21, 2011

And I did not even get drowned!

Do you know about this?

There is something called a 'swimming pool' that you can actually play in the water, and no one will even tell you to get out!  I did not even know about such a thing.  The only swimming pool I knew about was the little one that we had in the back yard.  But this is a really big one that your feets CAN NOT EVEN TOUCH THE BOTTOM!!

We went to a place called Sabino Canyon Pet Resort
and they have a swimming pool just for dogs!
Well, I guess cats could use it too, if they wanted to!

It was so amazing that it was amazingly amazing!

I was a little confused at first, because I had never seen no real swimming pool!

But then I got used to it, and boy was I glad. It was like taking a bath but you could move around in the water!

The swimming pool is shaped like a bone.
How cool is THAT!!

The tall guy was throwing the tennis ball in the water and I would go in and get it for him. Just like we do at the park, except wet!
(The tall guy got a little wet too, but he didn't seem to mind.  He didn't get in the swimming pool, but some of my water might have gotten on him when I was drying off!)

If you come to visit me, maybe we can go play in the pool together!!

So I would like to say "THANK YOU!" to the nice people at the  Sabino Canyon Pet Resort for letting me play in their pool! I hope I get to come back really soon!

  1. How exciting!! Maybe you could get a small one for home. You look like you ate having a blast!

  2. I bet you enjoyed getting cooled off and had a grand time. BTW, my husband really loved how you can "play the harp" so well in your last post. Awesome!! You are a dog of many talents

  3. Jack, that is just so very very cool!! Now that you are a celebrity and all, maybe the tall guy can build you your very own bone shaped pool at home!! I bet he would :)

  4. Jack, that sure looks inviting and fun!! That is quite a resort!!

  5. What a great idea!! We wanna go!!

    -Gizmo, Bart and Ruby

    Sweet hugs,

  7. Wow Jack that looks like such fun you like your having a fantastic time. That looks like a great place you have found. I Milo would have loved to come with you on that adventure as I love to swim. From Angus and Milo

  8. Are you kidding? PeeWee loves the cement pond. He would stay in there all day. The rule momma has is that he can only swim until his bottom starts to sink because then he is getting tired even if he doesn't know it. For an extra good time, have TG get in with you.

  9. It would be pawesome if they had mixed species swim days!

The TG khould lob a khytteh fur woo to retrieve!

  10. What a wonderful place for pups to go! Glad you had fun!

  11. MOL Jack you are most certainly deserving of a day at a pet resort. Keeping TG in line is hard work....
Thanks for the invite to join you at the pool. I, Madi, do not do water. MOL HOWEVER, I will be most happy to be your Cabana Girl
    Hugs madi

  12. What a swell place that is to visit! We have never been to a pool. Hope you get to go again soon.

  13. Wow ... It is bone shapes and everything!!!!
I'm thinking TG needs to install one fur you....after all you are a world famous author now

  14. How exciting is dat!!! You and my pack mate, Rusty, would have a ball in da pool. He luvs it too!

  15. WOW!!! THAT is a grrrrrreat place fur sure!! I wish I could have joined you. Hope you get to go back.

  16. Nope, no way, now how am I getting nears water. I will melt you knows...I don't do sprinklers, hose pipes, or baths...or rain fur dat fact.
    Da pool is ALL yours!
But I'll lounge around withs a purty drink and umbrella...I'll be right beside Madi.

  17. Wow, does that look like fun. We will have to check that out next time we are down south. Easton LOVES, LOVES, LOVES to swim.

  18. Oh my, next you'll be wanting a surfboard!

  19. That looks like fun! We have something like that here but they call them lakes....

  20. WOW!! a bone shaped pool/lake to swim in. How fun is that! Maybe you can get TG to put in one like that for you at home??! then you could go anytime you wanted.

  21. Boy are you a lucky dog. A pool is almost like a bath, only without the soap, and with deeper water. Our pool won't be open for months yet, it is still cold here in Colorado. So glad that you got to swim to your hearts content.

  22. A pool at a resort, sounds like a fun visit. Are pools like bathtubs? I'm not so fond of bathtubs unless they are empty or have humans in them.

  23. That's so cool! How fun!
You got to go in the water with no string on!

  24. That Pet Resort is so so so cool! And OMD! That bone shaped pool is SO NICE!!! I bet it was so furry cool to swim in that. Hope it wasn't too deep for ya.

  25. Robin Leach just called...
He wants you for the next episode of Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous! :)

Hubby is out your way...driving to CA, delivering a piece of stereo equipment to a friend...boys and their toys! Also going to see David Lindley:
Hope he can afford to drive back home w/ soaring gas prices! :)

  26. That looks like so much fun for woofies that is. Mum read your book today and loved it... Hugs GJ x

  27. COOL!! and dont tell me the TG was too whimpy to get in with ya??? Geeezz....BOL. hope you splashed him a good one!! BOL

    Jazzi and Addy

  28. Sooo happy for you Jack - that is awesome :) A bone shaped pool would be worth a trip!

  29. I bet Tootie would like that better than the kitchen sink!

  30. Jack,

Count me in to keep Puddles and Madi company while you swim! :)

    Woofs and Licks,
    Maggie Mae

  31. Puddles is on the right track. When the TG builds you your own cement pond, don't forget the chaise longue and the umbrella. You've already got the cabana girls.
