September 4, 2013

I think I'm gonna like it here!

This is called 'grass'.

Evidently, all my puppy eyes
finally got to the tall guy
and he said that we could stay here.

So we have been busy for the past week
trying to find a new place to live.

The tall guy promised me that it would have
1)  grass
2)  trees
(he said this was the MOST important thing)
3) my very own door that I can go
in and out when I need to at 3AM.
He doesn't seem to like getting up
and taking me outside that early in the morning,
but when you gotta go,
you gotta go.

So that is why we haven't been around much lately,
just in case you were wondering,
but I know he reads your blogs in bed every night
before he goes to sleep.

He said he spent all day yesterday
dealing with something called
'more gauges'.
I asked him how many gauges he needed,
and that if we could stay here,
I would buy him some.

I'll let you know what happens!

  12. Wow, Jack -

CONGRATULATIONS on your big move to a nice cool place with lots of grass and trees - it will be so nice for you!

Hopefully you won't have any coyotes running in the streets in your new neighborhood, (or coming through your doggy door)!!

  15. I'd like to think our Swiss photos helped nudge him in the proper direction for your labby needs. Geesh... I mean seriously. A labrador without his own door? What's the world coming to?

Congratulations Jack! You deserve miles of grass to roll in!

  16. Jack - Grass, trees, and gauges. All you need now is to make sure you're within sniffing distance of a burger joint, an IHoP and a Dunkin Donuts and you've got it made.

  17. How wonderful Jack! My mom and I are most impressed that you got to go along and help check out your area and help with selection a home. The Tall Guy sounds like our kind of person - one who realizes that fur persons are indeed people too and that these kind of decisions matter to us as well. I got to go car shopping this summer to make sure I fit safely and comfortably in the new family vehicle. I'm please to say daddy picked the one that I picked (but he didn't pee on the tire like me!).

  18. Dear Jack, I'm so happy you're going to have grass and your own door. You deserve it. The Tall Guy is sure looking out for you. I hope he finds just the right kind of more gauges. Can't wait to hear more about your new home. xoxo

  19. Yo, way cool Jack! Go on vacation and stay forever. I can think of a few places I'd like to "vacation" permanently. I'm glad you're getting grass AND a new home! May you have many happy dog days ahead. Your pal, Tucker

  20. Jack -

You are gonna Love Grass and Trees and seasons!!! I'm not sure exactly where your new house will be, but if you're with the Tall Guy ... it will be Home. ;)

    Good Luck and Enjoy,

  21. Hey moving to Australia???? Lots of grass here and lots of trees too!! Oh, and did I mention...kangaroos. In fact we saw one just today when we were out on our walk.
