Exploring my new neighborhood

Here we are out looking around
our new neighborhood.
It's pretty cool.
There are lots of new smells and things to see.

Here's one of them.
Do you know what it is?

That's right.
It's a LEAVE.
But not just any old leave.
It's a honking HUGE leave.

I have never seen one this big before.
It is bigger than the tall guy's head,
and trust me,
he's got a big old noggin!

I'll keep you posted
as we find more new stuff.

  1. What did it taste like? I like your new neighborhood. I can't wait to see more.

    Loveys Sasha

  2. Giant leaves falling? Is that like the sky falling? Lee and Phod

  3. I am sure you are finding lots of interesting things in your new neighborhood!
    Kisses and hugs

  4. Wow Jack....so many trees so little time!!!! That leaf must of come from a big one.
Have fun checking all of them out. Pprobably some squirrels hanging out in them.
    Lots of hugs,
    Casey May and mom

  5. Did you eat it? We eat them.

    Your Pals,

    Murphy & Stanley

  6. That's the biggest leave ever! You should definitely roll on that.

Here's hoping you join us on NaNo! We still need writers for the 12th and 13th. :)

  7. MOL Jack that is one big leaf. I bet you have a lot of different varieties at your new home too
Too funny TG and my mom minds were working on the same topic today.
    Hugs madi your bfff

  8. Don't you love the way your feet make crunchy sounds on the leaves? Just remember that they only sound like potato chips and bear no taste resemblance whatsoever! How's TG enjoying searching for your "deposits" amongst the fallen leaves? Ha ha - I make every effort to play Easter Bunny and hide mine in the leafiest areas of the yard. Keeps the people's searching skills sharp and I think they enjoy it every bit as much as I enjoy that ball that mama stuffs biscuits in and I have to push around to get my treats out.

  9. That IS a big leaf! We bet you'll find some other interesting stuff in your new Hood.

    Lily Belle & Muffin

  10. How exciting! Especially since the leaves down here are teeny-tiny!

    Monty and Harlow

  11. That is a huge honkin' leaf for SURE Jack!! Looks like you are enjoying your new neighborhood!!

  12. MOL Jack at your comment on our blog. I think your big honking 'leave' left you so that it could be a be a 'leave' in my yard or at least they are 2nd cousins.
    Hugs madi your bfff

  13. Hi Jack -
I Love this time of year! Lots of leaves and lots to smell. When Mom and I "normally" walk throughout the year it takes an hour ... but when the leaves are down and people rake them into piles ... ahhh, the smells! It takes me twice as long to walk!

Barks to You in your Wonderful New Home.
Your Lab Pal, (we almost look like twins!)

  14. Dear Jack,

Now you need to convince the tall guy to rake a whole bunch of those leaves into one gigantic pile so you can get a running start and DIVE into them!! I promise, you will love it ~ the tall guy, not so much......(but it would make a great video for your blog).

    Your friend,

  15. Goodness, I guess we have a missed a few posts...you moved! Congrats on your new home with giant leaves :D
    Wyatt and Stanzie

  16. That is a big maple leaf. Did you get to your new neighborhood in time to watch the maples change colors in the Fall? They put on quite a show! :)

  17. I am officially caught up with Jack. have read all your blogs. You maybe the worlds greatest lab, I would say dog, but my Scout would be jealous.
