We finally got the tree put up. I made sure that it was sitting straight in the holder. For some reason, the tall guy likes to put lights and all sorts of bobbily-bits on the tree. He says it makes it look nice. Personally (or should that be doggone-ally), I thought it looked just fine the way it was. But evidently my opinion isn't worth much around here.
You may notice that I am not wearing my happy face. You may also notice that there are no presents under the tree. You may wonder if those two things are related.
I was told that Sanity Clause brings all the gifts to all the good boys next week and we would just have to wait and see
I would just sit here and wait but what you can't see in the picture is the fence that the tall guy put up to keep me out of the room with the tree when he is not here. For some reason, he thinks I might decide to play with some of the bobbily-bits on the tree.
I think he knows me too well!
Great tree

ReplyDeleteI think you look like the BEST kind of ornament . . . sitting there on that beautiful shining wood floor. you're the best thing in the room! now why on earth would he EVER want to keep you out?
he doesn't know you at all. that is such an innocent face.
love and major hugs buddy.
XOXO
Jack - No need to panic . Clearly there's a railroad car load of presents on their way.
ReplyDeleteDear Jack,
ReplyDeleteYour tree is most beautiful, but, oh my goodness, whatever would give the tall guy the idea that you would entertain yourself by playing with the bobbily-bits on the tree????? LOL
Too bad about the fence, but it will all be worth it when you wake up Christmas morning and find all the cool and fun presents under the tree with your name on them.
Enjoy your beautiful tree and your first Christmas in your gorgeous new home!!
Your friend,
Nancy
Speaking from our own experience, we're sure the tall guy knows you too well. Humans just aren't any fun!
ReplyDeleteWELL JACK I HAVE HEARD FENCES MAKE GOOD NEIGHBORS...NOW I KNOW THE FENCE IS IN YOUR HOUSE BUT IT KEEPS YOU OUT OF TROUBLE AND WE ALL KNOW A TREE HAS SO MANY TEMPTATIONS IT IS A BEAUTIFUL TREE.

Oooooh beautiful tree!!! I know Santa Claws will be most generous to you and TG. Enjoy your first Christmas in your new home!
ReplyDeleteWe have bells hung on the lowest limbs of our tree to sound a warning if someone gets too close. We have a 13 week old lab puppy, plus his mom, and a 113 pound yellow lab too. Shadow (the puppy) like to lay under the tree, and we have given up on putting a tree skirt under it because he thinks it is for him to pull off and sleep on. He unwrapped the first present we put under there so we won't get to do that until Christmas Eve. And don't feel bad, we have a fence too so that he can't get in there without human supervision!
ReplyDeleteAnd there's absolutely no way you can jump over the barricade the TG puts up???
ReplyDeleteBobbily bits are GREAT fun to play with Jack, you should try it!
ReplyDelete~Arran (and Ludo, but he doesn't thing you should do it)
We are sure Santa paws has you on the NICE list! Good job with the tree!
