Looking for Dinosaurs!

Here we are, out in the wilderness, looking for dinosaurs.

The tall guy seems to think that we are just on a walk, but I know that we are really looking for dinosaurs.

(That is me, way off in the distance.

The tall guy thinks it's funny to hide and see

if I notice that he's not around!)  

Eureka, Kansas!

I found a dinosaur bone.

Or perhaps it is just a big piece of wood.

Either way,

it is good to chew on.

Until someone tells you to drop it.

Then it's still good to chew on

if they aren't close enough

to take it away from you!

It's About Time!

Someone FINALLY came back home.  I did not even know that he was going anywhere, until the nice lady came by to take me for a walk.  Then it dawned on me.

He said he had been to see Aunt Lanta.  I didn't even know he had no Aunt Lanta.  Actually, it sounds like something that he just made up.  He could have just as easily said he went to Bubble-lubble-town.

AND he did not even bring me no Valentime's present.  I also do not know what is Valentime's, but from what I see on the TV commercials, I should have gotten diamonds, flowers and a big dinner out of it.  

I did make him give me a cookie when he got home, because I'm pretty sure I was shortchanged during the 3 days he was gone.  

He said he had to sit on the plane at the gate for an hour before he got to come home.  He was not happy.  I asked him if someone locked the gate so he couldn't get out.  He said finally the plane got to go to the runaway.  I told him that if I was locked on a plane for an hour and not going anywhere, I would have runaway too!

But he is back now AND he took me on an extra walk today at lunch.  He must be feeling guilty.  I'm pretty sure I can get some extra cookies out of this somehow!

tell it's me!

 

Look at these pictures.  

Can you tell what they are?

That's right.

It's the International Space Station.

It flew over our house the other night.

The tall guy took these 'pictures' of it as it did.

I guess it's easier to photograph

me sitting in the grass

that something flying over your head

50 million miles away.

So, if you see a big blur flying over your house,

it could be the International Space Station.

Or it could be me.

Let's play the 1:45AM game!

It's really very easy to play.

Next time you're in bed with your peoples,

(you DO sleep with your peoples don't you?)

look at the clock

and when it says 1 and 4 and 5,

start running really hard 

like you're having a dream that you're

running really hard.

Doesn't that sound like fun?

The tall guy and I played it last night.

Needless to say,

I had to go sleep on the couch after that.

I seem to have

a lot of toys...

that are missing an arm or leg,

or even a head.

I'm not sure why this is happening.

Perhaps there is an evil

toy gnome that is going around

and taking off the arms and legs

at night when I am asleep.

I may have to set up a

surveillance camera to find out

what's going on.

Two Words I Do Not Like To Hear!

COME ON!

I bet Madi's Mom never says that to Madi!

Sometimes when we are out walking, the tall guy

keeps saying "Come on!".

Please notice the exclamation point.

He doesn't say "Come on."

He doesn't say "Come on, please."

He just says

"Come on!"

Usually when I have found 

something interesting to smell.

I don't think I'll ever understand peoples.

We did not get to go play 

in the snow today...

because it snowed.

I know, it doesn't make any sense to me either.

We were going to go up to the mountains 

to play in the snow today,

but evidently the road is closed 

because of the snow we got last night.

It even snowed at our house,

but, of course, most of it was gone 

by the time the tall guy got out of bed!

I think we are going to try again

next week.

My New Hat! 

Since Benny and Lily 

have been showing off their new hats,

and

Remington looks so good in his crown,

I thought I would show off my new hat.

It came all the way from Africa!

If you've been reading my blog

for a long time,

you may recall my opinion

about hats.

If you can't,

I think you can see it in my face.

I may have to seek an addendum

to the Christmas Hat Law!

I did not do this! 

This was someone's idea of a "cute picture".

I do not even like covers, 

although I do like a nice pillow 

every now and again.

So, if your peoples think pictures like

this are "cute"

or even worse, "sweet",

please tell them that they need

to get out of the house more.

And they need to make their bed.

That's all I got to say about it!

Let's Go To The Mall! 

I hope everyone had a very good New Year's.

The tall guy and I went to the big mall.

It's the only one that I'm allowed to go to

since all the stores are outside!

  

We did not see any other dogs today,

but sometimes there are other dogs there.

I did not get to ride the escalator,

but when I was walking down the stairs,  

I had a lady tell the tall guy that I looked very happy.

I think she was drunk!

They even have this really cool swimming pool,

but you can't swim in it.

 The tall guy said it is a fountain,

but I didn't want to correct him

in front of all the other people 

who were at the mall too. 

If I had had a bone,

I could have re-enacted

the Aesop fable,

The Dog and His Bone. 

Instead,

I just pulled a Narcissus.

I did not get to buy anything at the mall.

I think my credit card is maxed out.

But it was still fun looking at all the 

neat stuff in the windows.

They have a rescue store at the mall

where they try to find homes for 

all the cats and dogs who don't

have a home.  I didn't get to go in there,

but the tall guy always gives them

some moneys when we walk by.

 I just say hello to everyone 

through the window.

So next time you're at the mall,

look for me.

And say hello!

Opening Christmas Presents!

Boy did I have a wonderful Christmas.

 I got a whole bunch of boxes and paper to chew up!

Oh, and there was some stuff in the boxes too.

And I've only de-stuffed one thing so far.

I got 3 whole dinosaurs to play with!)

I have NO IDEA!!

Even though it says December 25th at the top,

I had to write this on December 24th,

so I have not gotten to open any of my presents yet.

So if you come back on December 26th

(or the 27th, depending on the Tall Guy's mood),

I will be able to tell you how I made out

gift-wise.
