I CAN NOT BELIEVE MY EYEBALLS!

Well, it turns out that
I may have been mistaken about
running out of cookies.  It appears that I had
just reached my limit on the number of
cookies I am allowed to have each day.
Whoever came up with this
completely arbitrary number needs to
be reminded that 3 cookies is not enough
for a growing boy.
Or me.
But I still want to thank EVERYONE
who offered to send me cookies or help me
find where the tall guy keeps them hidden.

On another note,
look at what came to the house yesterday:

It's a BOX!
And I helped get it open.

More helping.

More more helping.

And look what was inside.
PAPERS!!
Someone must know how much
I LOVE me some papers!!

And this:

The tall guy said it was a pin-gwin!
I have never seen no pin-gwins,
not even on the TV.

It was SO cool.
It even made 2 different sounds.

Here the tall guy is playing keep-away.
I let him think that he can actually
keep it away from me.
It seems to make him happy.

BUT NOT AS HAPPY AS THIS:

You would have thought that
he had never seen bread before.
But, he said this was his
favorite kind of bread and that he
couldn't get it where we live.
It must be a very special kind of bread,
1) because he was really excited when
he saw it in the box, and
2) he would not even let me have none.
Not even the piece on the end that nobody eats!

He was so excited he made himself
a hamburger sandwich!

And he didn't even put it on a bun.
He put it on his special bread.
(I did get a little, tiny, itsy-bitsy bit of the hamburger.)

So I have learned some very special stuff today.
1)  Sunbeam bread makes the tall guy
very excited, and
2) there are some very, very nice
people out there who are very kind
to send the tall guy his special bread
(oh, and my treats and toys too!)

The tall guy said to say a special
"THANK YOU!!"
to Nancy, who sent us the stuff.

So, "THANK YOU, to Nancy, who sent us the stuff!"
(I didn't even know I could talk in BOLD!)

If you come by, we will make you a peanut butter
sandwich on Sunbeam bread,
which is one of our favorites!

Or you can have a
potato chip sandwich!
Now THAT is some fine eating!!

  1. Oh, Jack (and tall guy) - You're VERY welcome!!

The two of you do some awfully nice things for people, so the least that should happen is that you get little surprises in the mail once in awhile, too!

I'm glad you liked the toys and the treats, Jack, and I'm very glad the Sunbeam bread arrived intact - it was a challenge to figure out how to send it 2,000 miles without getting squished! LOL

The tall guy's hamburger sandwich looks very yummy, but I will admit I'm completely intrigued by the idea of a tater chip sammich - I just might give it a try for dinner tonight!

Enjoy your goodies, and thanks again for all you do for others!

    Your friend,
    Nancy

  2. Boy Jack, maybe you should try and play keep away with the loaf! Or maybe he will roll the bread into tiny dough balls for you

  4. I love your pin-gwin. My Sister collects those, but she won't let me play with hers. I hope you get some peanut butter bread, that is one of my favorite snacks that my Daddy sneaks me when Mommy isn't looking.

  15. Uh oh...a treat limit? Well, at least you're not without treats. But, come on, only three? Geez.

Nice penguin you got there. Maybe you could let the TG play with it for a minute for a taste of that bread? But wait. Plain white bread? What's that all about? He's gotta tell us what makes it so special.
